Works great
Used it to make some beer. All the welds and overall finish was good. On brew day I added 2 ounces of hops to the wort, the mesh did a fine job of keeping the hops in and letting the wort circulate. My only suggestion would be to use oven mits or thick gloves when you pull out the spider at the end of boil. The metal is very hot, and lots of steam comes out as well. It cleaned up well with no discoloration of the metal or rust.

I love this hops filter
I love using this hop filter for brewing rather than muslin bags. It is easy to clean after brewing. My only issue is that it is too short for my large brew kettle and too tall for my small brew kettle. I'm doing partial mash brews and have switched to starting with a full 6 gallons to start my boil. This gives me enough water to use this filter with the filter attached to the side of the kettle. It gets a bit low at the end so I set it in the middle of my immersion chiller for the last 15 minutes. For the big hop beers, I will look to find a way to set this lower in the kettle than attaching it to the side. That is not a fault of the filter, I should have checked more closely for the proper height filter. This one was reasonably priced and was a pretty close fit from what I could tell before ordering.Overall I'm very happy with the filter. I do have to make sure I stir the hops a bit once added to the filter to make sure it doesn't just float on top inside the filter.

Works great
Works great. This is my second one as a back up for when I brew some ipa’s. Love how it comes with a spoon now

A reasonable hop spider that does the job
While some of the welds are not the prettiest, this hop spider is used in boiling wort, so I am not too worried about potential contamination points as I would be with something going into the fermenter. I’ve used it now with both an all in one e-brew system and a traditional kettle and it worked well. Seams feel solid and there are no bits of wire sticking out. All in all, I’m happy with the product.

Good for straining broth/ stock
I’ve been making massive batches of meat stock and broth. Because it’s made in the oven, I’m not able to skim it properly so I have to do it after. I prefer a clear broth and after trying to use cheesecloth and different mesh strainers I got annoyed at the struggle because then scum was still getting through. Now I just use this and it’s so fast 😭 it could be a little smaller for this purpose but I couldn’t find a smaller size. It’s the fastest way to get clear stock. I don’t use this for beer.

Good spider
This works as advertised. It hangs on to the side of my brew pot to add hops and flame out additions. The opening is big enough to fit my hand inside making cleaning very easy.

Great size for a 5 gal kettle
This hop spider fit my brew system perfectly. Well made and kept hop particles out of the wort. Be sure to rinse right away after boiling and it will clean out easily.

Add hops to the kettle without a fuss
Allows me to add hops to the boil kettle without problems. Previously I either used canisters/tea balls (kind of a pain) or just threw pellets in the boil (clogged up the outlet). This is the best of both worlds. You can still throw hops right into the boil, they just have their own little section to keep them off the bottom of the pot and prevent them from clogging the valve. I'm not a big hazy pale bro so I only throw in a couple ounces a batch, tops, but there's room in here for more.

Rusted after one wash
I received the product in good condition and packed quite well, spoon felt good and the item looked to have a nice fine mesh.I decided to wash it before first use and wiped it down, then left for additional air drying. When I came to use it the next day, I noticed that the joints that have been soldered had rust appear on them. I am not going to trust a product that is rusting with acidic liquids or any kind of food.Return thanks to Amazon was easy.
