Variety and inventiveness on a plate
I’m a big fan of inventive lesson ‘recipe’ and resource books as I try to be spontaneous and creative and original in my own lessons. It's so easy to slip into a rut and end up doing the some old same old out of simple laziness or lack of inspiration. So Shelley Ann Vernon's ESL Games for Preschool fits right into my way of doing things.Continuing my long career of English teaching here in France, I’m now running my own English school called Rainbow English School, based on a positive pedagogy approach, and I’ve easily incorporated the book’s activities into my ‘maternelle’ class (4-6 year olds) already and the kids love them and so do I.I’ve been a fan of the author’s Teaching English Games website for a while now and I appreciate her generous and genuine style. There are a few standout things I really like about her new book in fact: 1) There are a lot of activities, clearly categorised into easy and more advanced speaking and listening activities, as well as ones which focus on specific vocabulary which is great when you’re covering a particular topic; 2) The activities are really clearly explained usually in only a page or so, with variations noted and easy to follow instructions which is vital when you’re always pressed for time like I usually am; 3) The variety and fun aspect of all the games is brilliant – it’s so clear that Shelley Ann has poured all her long experience into this book and it’ll be in my teacher’s kit bag for many months to come 😊Sab Will, author "Primary Music Box" (Cambridge Copy Collection)

Motivational, Inspirational, Exciting
Over several years ago i bought my first Shelly book "176 English language games for children", being a new teacher, not to teaching but to teaching English, I found this book an incredible asset to me, consequently as my English career grew I then came into the adult teaching world, which again I purchased her book. So when i noticed she had launched a new book for preschool and this is my new area, i was straight on to the shopping cart to get my copy! As always its an inspiration especially to new and old teachers alike, all her books are packed with great ideas which can be adapted to any situation, classroom and culture, not only that she has included something for everyone, Now being a Director of an Academy, Examinator for international exams in English and teacher, time is not something i have so this series is a real plus I would highly recommend it to new teachers, busy teachers, teachers who need help, teachers who need a difference, teachers who have been teaching forever, all of you! Enjoy!

Great for use with young kids!
This is a great book to use for ESL children. I’m teaching two toddler Romanian girls to speak English and I use this book to find helpful activities to use with them. Each activity is broken down into little steps and it tells you how much space you need, if it’s a calming game, it it’s good for getting active, and so on. I definitely think this book is worth the money for young children’s education

Great tips!
I'd really recommend this book to everyone starting in the world of Preschool ESL Teaching! It has many different activities and games that will surely inspire. The explanations are simple and easy to understand, and the organisation is incredible. I'll store my copy in my school so all teachers can share it and have a quick look when feeling uninspired.

Ottimo come sempre - As good as ever
I've bought and used Shelley Vernon's resources for more than 10 years. I am the director of a private English language school in Tuscany, English World, and Shelley's incredible stories and games have been the backbone of my lessons for 3-6 years of age since I have been teaching. This book is no exception, full of adorable illustrations, clear explanations, fabulous ideas and ways to get kids learning English while they play and enjoy themselves. Research has shown that if you can get an emotional and physical reaction from a child while they are learning (and from an adult in fact) they are more likely to remember the information. If you have never tried Shelley's resources, I heartedly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.

My students loved them. My lessons have been more enjoyable and ...
I'm an English teacher from Hungary and I find Shelley and her book extremely helpful. The day I got the book I started to read it on my way to my next lesson and straight away I could use some of the ideas. My students loved them. My lessons have been more enjoyable and playful since I started to use these ideas. The games are easily adaptable to any age groups, I think some of them can even be fun to use with adults to ease the stress on the lessons. :)All the games are fun and can be varied in an endless combination with any vocabulary. I got a lot of inspiration from it and the feedback from the children is amazing. They became more enthusiastic about English. Thank you very much for the opportunity.

Superb livre
