Road to Forever & A Love of My Own: A 2-in-1 Collection (Bare Sophistication)

In Road to Forever by Sherelle Green Aaliyah Bai and Bryant Burrstone can barely stand to be in the same room with one another for more than a few minutes without rubbing each other the wrong way. So imagine their surprise when they are forced to take a road trip from Miami to California together. This story was simply sweet, with a healthy dose of heat thanks to the explosive chemistry from Aaliyah and Bryant. Their stark difference with Aaliyah being more carefree and a wild flower (so to speak) and Bryant being uptight and reserve made the story interesting. It was obvious Ms. Green put a lot of thought into these characters because not only did they feel real, you sympathized for the painful situation they have in common, and saw how well they complimented the other. And, as always, it was great catching up with the ladies of Bare Sophistication and the Madden men.In A Love of My Own by Sheryl Lister Lorenzo Hunter's life consists of work. He, along with his cousin, are gearing up to take over their family's construction business. Love is the last thing on his mind, until he meets Desiree Scott. The young woman, and owner of her own bath and body shop called Scentillating Touch is beautiful, and Lorenzo finds it hard to resist her despite the "baggage" she comes along with. Everything about this story made me want to read it over and over again. It was an emotional read that pulled at your heartstrings one minute, but had you fanning yourself the next. At times, it got a little heavy, because of the real life issues surrounding Desiree's family. Ms. Lister's vast knowledge of the subject opened my eyes. I truly appreciated it. Also, I loved seeing the Gray men (Hey Khalil) and hearing about how well they're doing after their series ended.Both books are definitely worth reading.

I have read all of Ms Lister's book and when she introduced another new series I immediately pre ordered my copy.. Wow I tell you this is one fantastic book with a storyline dealing with a topic that is affecting families - Alzheimer. This is a romance book but there was some suspense and some drama. Ms Lister is a dynamic storyteller. I love how the heroine dealt with her mother , such love she portrayed all while dealing with her aweful sisters..The Hunters of Sacremento are relatives of the Grays of Los Angeles who all made a cameo appearance in the book and if you have read their books you know you are in for another awesome series with the Hunters. OMG Lorenzo is to die for what a dynamic hero he was, such a gentleman and I love how he was so attentive to the heroine with her struggles with her sisters and was so happy for their HEA.I recommend this awesome book to romantic fans and most certainly look forward to reading more from the series all of which I have already pre ordered It's a must read.

Road to Forever was a wonderful frenemies story. Aaliyah and Bryant were associated by family and friends and neither felt the other liked them. A forced cross country road trip allows them to not only work out their relationship, it helps them both work out other life issues.A Love of My Own was a great connection to the Grays of Los Angeles. It is always great to catch up on characters from previous books. Having a relative that progressed through the stages of Alzheimer’s this book struck a cord.

Once again the queen’s has made it happen. You never know who’s for you. Remember never envy anyone, but be mindful of all.

Hmmmm..... I hate to see kimani line ending because books like these and authors like this....Sherelle Green bare sophistication series is my absolute favorite I love all the characters I'm happy she added more to the series. I love the book I don't want to give much away and sheryl lister i love the gray of low Angeles series i like that she added the cousins into the mix. Like I said both books were great I'm looking forward to more from both authors.

Two great stories by two of my favorite authors. In Road To Forever by Sherelle Green, I loved Bryant and Aaliyah’s enemies to lovers story. Love Of My Own by Sheryl Lister was a great start to the Hunters of Sacramento series. The chemistry between Lorenzo and Desiree was hot. I can’t wait to read the next installment in both series.

I’m following Sheryl Lister, OMG, this was very good. I love, love, love her family and friends continuations. SinceFrances Ray passed away, Sheryl is coming in a very close second. Luckily for me the second book is coming out 7/1,Can’t wait, thanks again, this is a keeper, and reread!
