Glamour and Turbulence: I Remember Pan Am, 1966-91

I was choking up from the flood of memories I have from growing up in Pan Am!!!
As a son of Pan Am, this book made me remember even the smallest details. Flying in first class, wearing a suit, eating a REAL meal with Pan Am ensignia silverware. Linens, pillows, drinks and so much more. Being able to go talk with the pilots and the pride that came from flying. I miss those days. The room alone, even in the back of the plane puts flights now to shame... Great read to remember the golden age of travel....

Made me feel like I was back on the plane with Aimee Bratt
Good read! It brought back many memories and made me want to write my own version of my experiences with Pan Am.

A True Pleasure to Read
What a pleasure it was to re-read "Glamour and Turbulence" after some 20 years.Aimee's account of life as a Stewardess and later Fllght Attendant/Purser, brought back so many memories from my own career with TWA.The book rings true, I'm sure, for all of us who have ever been on a flight. It is great read for all who remember and those who are curious about what flying was like, when the only mask required was an ever-present smile.

Wonderful reading.
My father was a mechanic with Pan Am from the 40's to the late 70's when he retired. I didn't realize all the glorious history of this great airline until I read this great book by Aimee Bratt. It was so interesting to read about the lives of flight attendents, pilots, and management, along with the pictures. She makes the book so interesting, it is hard to put down. Thanks Aimee and the t.v.show Pan Am for bringing this wonderful history back to life. Lorraine Wilkie Douglasville,Ga. Dec. 2011

Primitively written but a great recall
I get the feeling that Aimee Bratt isn't really an author but being a Flight Attendant I had a strong understanding of her stories and her recall was amazing, of things that happened so long ago. A must read for those in the profession.Beauregard Fielding NZ
