Hunter Douglas Duette Shade 3/8" Cord Lock (Right Side Control)

Needed to replace older worn out part for my blinds. This worked wonders. I am annoyed that they would use plastic for a component as important as this without any reinforcement, but this was easy to install myself and works now. I am sure it will wear out within the next few years.

Broke the lock in process of replacing the cords in my old 8x8 shade. Had to use a hook on the wall to tie the cords to keep the shade up. Glad I found this piece..Installed easy and now the shade works like new.

I bought this cord lock to replace a 16 year old Hunter Douglas pleated blindset. After several attempts to repair the old cord lock with creative ziptie embroidery, the lock finally broke way beyond repair - the cord was also completely worn out. I replace the cord with 0.9 - a little thicker than the original cord size - but it worked with the blinds and this new cord lock.Part was a perfect direct replacement for the old one. It operates very smoothly and locks perfectly. Glad these parts are still available to make the blindset last much longer.

Quick & easy to install

These are redesigned from the original ones. They put a metal piece inside so the cord doesn't wear into the plastic. After purchasing these I contacted Hunter Douglas and found out they provide this replacement part free, with free shipping, for the life of the shade.

Perfect replacement. No more tangled cords. Went on and replaced all in our home and rental units.
