These soft pastels work well but I would also recommend purchasing some hard pastels and/or pastel pencils for beginners.

Fantastic pastels!
I love these soft pastels! They work so good with mixed media art! My only complaint is that the box doesn’t stay closed when traveling with them. If I only used them in the studio, it would be not problem. But I have to use multiple rubber bands when I travel with the box. But the pastels themselves are dreamy. I love them !

Best pastels out there
Great colors, professional pastels. I wouldn’t use any others. And I have bought 4 others brands of pastels. They are now sidewalk chalk.

Cracked and crumbly! 👎
If they weren't cracked or crumbled on arrival, they were as soon as you used them. I bought these for an art class and chose to spend the money on quality products. Even my art teachers were shocked at the quality of these. I'd give them two thumbs down! Try a different brand.
