Good Quality
I needed a bilge pump for my kayak. I went online and got a list of the top ten. This was one of them. It seems of good quality. Not heavy but sturdy. I have never needed one for myself, but have gone on paddles that others did. This one was a good price so I purchased just to have one. If I did it again I'd get one with a hose. My hubby dug up a foam tube from the garage that works okay if I need it. Although it is pretty self-explanatory to use, I think there should have been some paperwork in the box and there was NOTHING! NADA! At least info on the company or what it is made of, where it was made, etc. I have nothing. Hope I never have to use it. Just like having a fire extinguisher in the house.

Great handpump for my kayak or Jon boat
Updated-7/9/22 This pump has been great. Now it stays in my Jon boat & after a year& half still works great. I did spray wd40 around the shaft to lubricate the seals. The only thing is a little cosmetic sun damage as you can see in the pic . If I need another one id buy this one.I was surprised by how beefy the pump was. I bought 2 ft of 1"ID clear plastic hose and was able to get it over the outlet.I then started pumping out my kayak. The pump worked great and and pumped full volume of water per stroke until about 1/2" of water was left before loosing suction. I definitely recommend it and would buy again.

Necessary Purchase
I purchased a pair of these when my girlfriend and I upgraded from our stubby 9'6" rec boats to 14'5" touring boats. I didn't think I'd ever have to use it, but it was something I knew I should have just in case of emergencies as our new boats have front and rear bulkheads and cannot be easily drained. I've had to use this a couple of times and it has worked fantastically. It floats, its lightweight, and has saved me from having to paddle a boat x2 as heavy back to shore. Highly recommend!

Life saver
This pump rocks. It will save your life in a pinch. Had a crack in the scupper and my kayak was taking on water. This was in arms reach and it throws tons of water. Made it back to shore. I also love the fact that it floats. Get this pump as an insurance policy. It can also be used to put water into your cooler to keep your bait alive.

I mean it does suck
Nice small pump. Isn't the highest flow rate but it does the job just fine. Only used 4 times, so I can't comment on reliably. If I get any problems I'll update the review

Works in a bucket. Hope I never need it.
I tried this once in a bucket. Worked well. I have it attached to a bungee cord under the seat in my Hobie 2016 Outback. Fit there without any problem. Handy in the event of an emergency. Hope I never need it.

Works great for what I've tried it on!
Works great for my use, haven't used for water removal out of a kayak yet, but I use it to remove water that collects on the boat cover when it rains! π
