Maybe for wood working
It a very nice looking and appears to be well built with only .0003 runout mounted in quill.Only complaint is doesn’t hold tight when tightened by hand. You must use the provided wrench to tighten it which kinda defeats the purpose of a keyless chuck. I thought and was obviously wrong when it says self tightening that it would hold a drill bit tighter as it was used. Nope it does not.Update. Doesn’t hold, jaws are not 60 Rockwell, after a few uses the jaw faces have wore flat from slippage, and have dented. If you are replacing a quality chuck you will be severely disappointed. Started out great but wore very quickly, doesn’t hold unless you use the wrench to tighten it. Stars reduced to 1Another update.Junked it. Useless in a machine shop.Get what you pay for.

True R8 chuck
Appears to have advertised run-out, which is perfect for my manual machine. Is a little tight to open/close, I imagine this will get smoother with more use. Very happy with the purchase.
