This is such an interesting take on some wildly unusual events in history!!! I just love the way the stories are written! They really promote other historical conversations.This is a big book (about 275 pages) but the stories are short so you can read a chosen one or two at bedtime. Highly recommended!

The author's artistic abilities were amazing, her comments fun. Her writing and research well done. A great read. Both husband and I loved the book, although it was (admittedly) for YA. Guess we are YA and a good place to be.

I don't know when I've read a book that I've enjoyed so much. Whenever I sit down, I read. This girl is hilarious & I find myself laughing out loud. The facts are so interesting, & Carlyn has done a ton of research in finding the facts of these stories. We truly do have a twisted, bizarre history. Truth IS stranger than fiction. I Iove the macabre, & this book fills the bill. This is one book that I won't be sharing with anyone. This is a keeper, & I'll be coming back someday to read it again. I'm looking forward to her next book.
