Badger Basket Chevron Doll Bunk Bed with Bedding, Ladder, and Padded Mats – Ideal for Dolls Up to 20 Inches in White and Pink

This doll bed is incredibly cute and very sturdy. After putting her babies to bed, our 2-year-old granddaughter climbed onto the top bunk and laid down herself, and the bed held up without even wobbling. She weighs about 35 pounds. That left us all impressed. The wood that the bed is made out of feels heavy and substantial.The chevron bedding looks like a pillow and blanket, but it's all one piece and functioning more like a thin mattress and pillow combination. This was nothing that a couple of small pieces of leftover fleece couldn't remedy when they became "blankets." Just be aware that you may want to plan for this if your child expects there to be blankets to use.I would have given this bed five stars had it come with instructions for putting it together. It wasn't terribly difficult to figure out, but we were left scratching our heads trying to figure out if the ladder connected (which it doesn't) because we were left with that and one extra screw. The photo clearly shows the ladder leaning against the bed, but that photo or comparable graphic are not on the cardboard box that the bed comes in. They could easily change the art on cardboard box to show the pieces and how they come together, so it wouldn't even cost them more for a printed piece inside the box.

Very easy to put together and sturdy. My only complaints are the terrible smell of the product and the unstable ladder. I wiped everything down prior to putting it together. I didn’t want my daughter breathing in whatever caused that awful scent. The ladder doesn’t have anything to keep it on the bed so it constantly slams off onto the floor. My daughter doesn’t really use the ladder anymore. Good enough for the price though.

Really like the bed.. it’s well made.. but it had a strong chemical smell that lasted over a week I had to remove from the house it was so bad I thought it would make my daughter sick.. its now back in her room and she loves it.. I would just recommend you air it out for a few days before bringing it inside for play..
