The media could not be loaded.  I have tried to replace one of these on another vehicle and broke it. Got tired of dealing with the spiders in the new vehicle I bought and decided to give it another try but with lessons learned. I used a piece of wood that didn't flex over the entire mirror this keeps you from distorting or cracking the mirror. I'll admit it's not as good as OEM, but it's close enough for me and my wallet. I replaced the driver side. I also included a picture of the passenger side which I suspect to be OEM.

So the reason for the four stars is the mirror is slightly distorted. For me, its good enough. I have not tested the heated portion yet. The turn signal is red not orange. Its been on the vehicle for about a month with no issues.

I like many others ended up with a warped mirror. I tried as hard as I could not to flex the mirror while getting it put on to the factory mount. None the less, it would not fully clip into place without a certain amount of force used. That force sadly warps the reflection.It does work, its just not 100% perfect.

This is the second one of these I've purchased for my '03 Avalanche..., and I will purchase a third one if I break my mirror again.There is a learning curve and common sense to easily install these and get little to no distortion. Both mirrors I purchased, LH drivers side, came with zero distortion out of the box. After I installed the first one, there was some minor distortion, but still very usable. Why did this happen?When I get to the point to "snap/press" the new mirror in place, I would carefully use my whole hand to apply even pressure over the whole mirror. This is NOT the way to do it, as more than half the back of the mirror is not supported by anything, and you can actually bend it slightly to cause distortion.Before you snap the new one on, you need to look at the back of the mirror for the exact contact points where the mirror snaps in. When installing, do not put pressure outside these points. On my Avalanche, the area is about the diameter of a pop can, and the four contacts are simply top/bottom, and left/right. Simply rock mirror, first up and down, with thumb and index fingers. Only appy pressure over the contact points till you hear or feel it snap in. Do the same left and right, and you're done. New mirror, fraction of cost, and no distortion.My second mirror has no distortion whatsoever, even after installation.

Buy this one! I try very hard to keep my 2005 Silverado as nice as possible. I hate when something breaks and I end up with low quality parts. I needed to replace my passenger side heater, convex mirror with turn signal. First, I bought a mirror that was a little cheaper, but I ended up hating it. Then I gave this one a shot. The mirror looks exactly like my original mirror did, including the "Muth" brand name on the bottom of the glass. On the backside, the plate looks exactly the same, the LED module is exactly the same (you could swap in your old one if you changed the LED color from red). The heated mirror leads are the proper size and pointed the correct direction. It also includes all the clips on the backing plate to hold the wiring in place. The heated glass gets very hot and very quickly. The LEDs are very bright and have a directional beam just like the original. The mirror is a nice, even convex without distortion or "fish eye" appearance. I'm skeptic when it comes to parts, but I'm convinced this is a proper Muth mirror.
