Pioneer DDJ-400 Rekordbox DJ Controller+Monitors + Headphones DJ Starter Package

I noticed no one has reviewed this bundle so I’ll share my two cents. I’ve had it for about a week now and I love it. As a beginner looking to get started in DJing, this package has everything you need. The DDJ-400 and Rekordbox are amazing and easy to use. I was mixing my favorite tracks within an hour of opening everything. There are many tutorials and YouTube videos regarding the DDJ-400 and Rekordbox so there are many available resources for learning and sharpening skills. The Numark monitors are excellent and I love them. The RCA cables that directly connect the controller to the speakers are included in this bundle. I haven’t used the mic yet but I plan on using it when I start DJing house parties and get togethers on my college campus. I haven’t actually used the included headphones, I purchased a pair of Audio Technica M40x headphones at the same time I bought this bundle so I’ve been using those ever since and I’m more than happy with them. I have read good things about the included headphones so I’m sure they’re great especially for a beginner, so I’ll be keeping them as a spare pair just in case. Overall I’d recommend this bundle to anyone as it’s an excellent value. My buddy bought the other popular DDJ-400 bundle from pioneer that only comes with pioneer monitors and pioneer headphones (about $100 more than this bundle) and he’s happy with it but I’d personally purchase this bundle and grab a pair of better headphones for around $100 like I did, and you get a microphone and additional cables with this bundle and not the other.

So I just got this setup today. I used to own Technic 1200s. This is coming from someone who did this as a hobby for decades.So far it’s great. The speakers to controller are easy to setup once you download the software (still figuring out the controller specs). Headphones are blah so far, I used to own Sony DJ headphones so it’s hard to compare going from that to the Numarks. Probably will buy a different headphone setup.Haven’t tested the mic out for karaoke (friends want to karaoke). I use a Yeti for streaming and vocals. Haven’t tried the mic.

If you are looking to have a cool toy, learn how to DJ or just want to play around with music, this is the item for you. Very easy to download the application and install the DJ controller. I have been playing around with it for two days and I cant put it down. It is very compact and it looks very professional, your friends will be wowed when they see it. The speakers are computer size and it does not come with the subwoofer.

There are a lot of buttons. No directions on what they do. The mic was good quality and the amplified speakers are great quality. The board was an easy install. I just signed up for crossfaders beginner course on rekordbox. Let’s see how that goes. All in all it’s a sturdy unit for beginners and feels like it will last at home but maybe not that long in the club. I would purchase again.
