S.R. Smith 60704 Stainless Steel Ladder Bolt and Nut Hardware Kit

These bolts are thicker than standard bolts and do NOT fit the six Hydro Tools 87906 Stainless Steel Ladder Steps I purchased, any other steps I have checked at local pool supply stores, or the holes for the bolts in the railings on my pool which are standard 1.9-inch diameter railings. To be clear, it is the diameter, or gauge, of the bolts which is too large. The length is good, the heads are convex (unlike the cheaper stainless steel pool ladder bolts sold on Amazon with concave heads) and all other aspects of the bolts look fine. However, they do not fit and are not described properly here on Amazon.UPDATE ONE, 7-26-17: The company refused my return request because I am outside of their normal 30-day return policy. Not their fault, but I would hope that they would make an exception because their description is incomplete/inaccurate. I have requested an exception and will update this review once I have their answer.UPDATE TWO, 8-4-2017: The company graciously issued a refund, less a reasonable restocking fee (again, they charged the fee as I only discovered the problem after their return policy limit expired). While the problem with the product remains, my customer service experience was top-notch. Will be using them to (hopefully) find a suitable replacement. If I do, I'll post the product info here.

Just exactly as described, longer bolts than the originals, for use with the thicker replacement steps that I purchased.

Exact replacements for my 15 year old pool ladder treads. Curve around the bar holding it in place and long enough for the treads. Perfect!
