I hope to God that this was made from recycled aluminum cans. Because that would be its only real shining light. I may be old at 45 and don't understand the value of a dollar anymore, but I wouldn't pay $50 had I physically seen this instead of paying $180. And what's scary, is this was the better reviewed metal 4 door filing cabinet. I would return it for a refund, but I REALLY needed it and the box it arrived in was in tatters. Speaking of.My first impression. The box was OPEN. Sitting at my front door and completely open. Styrofoam was broken and little bits everywhere. As we brought it inside, the keys LITTERALLY fell out of the bottom of the box onto my floor just inside my front door. How did they even make it to my house? So the packaging itself is a sick joke. The box isn't even reusable for returns, which I believe was on purpose. Too big of a hassle to find a box and repackage it for a return. Means they get to claim more successful salesSeriously, unless you are in DESPERATE need, or of this goes on sale for $30, save you time and just spend a little more on something thicker than a soft drink can. Actually, I believe those cans are thicker material. If I were to try, I believe I could puncture this with my fingertips. It is CRAZY thin. So, plus side...its super light. Probably weighs about 2 mounds...if that. There's warnings stamped into the metal inside the drawers about weight distribution and making sure you don't put heavy files inside it.Had I paid less than $40 for this, I'd write a good review because I would expect something cheaply made and unsteady.Oh, and yeah, the drawers don't align so great (as other reviews said but I was hoping they were just unlucky since it is the higher rated one of these). And for $180 (plus shipping for those without Prime), I personally expect a little effort and craftsmanship when I try to sell something with my name on it or through my store. Quality isn't just a scrabble word for those like myself without a scholars vocabulary.TLDR;Only purchase this if its under $40 unless you have so much disposable income that you regularly give away $180 to random people for nothing. You couldn't even recycle this thing for $10.

The cabinet is perfect for a tight space and just the right height for this 5"3 girl. The bottom of the box was destroyed upon arrival exposing the file cabinet and causing dents and scratches. At first i wantedto return it, but had a bad time with the seller. No reply from the seller to my e mails and would have had to pay the shipping myself. The return lable was very strange saying, "A refund Will Not Be Issued With This Address," on the lable. That scared me because there was no address on it, just that message. Trying to contact the seller was impossible, and Amazon said they couldnt help me, because it was up to the seller to deal with the problem. I decided to just keep it. Too much trouble to return it... I cant fill the drawrs from the top down, it will fall over. It is super light weight. I had to divide all the files equally over the four drawrs. But it is perfect for the small space I have.

Excellent file cab for the cost. Fairly light weight, but adequate for its purpose. Needed at least two drawers to lock (with a single lock/key).

This cabinet is exactly what I wanted: inexpensive with sufficient space for my needs. I did NOT need something made of steel with impenetrable locks. The cabinet is put together well enough, but the metal used is fairly thin. It's going to be in my garage for paperwork deemed important enough to keep for at least some years, like old tax returns, receipts for our kitchen appliances, paperwork from the company we had paint our house a couple of years ago, etc. If you want something sturdy, pay more and get something sturdier. As stated in the official description on Amazon, this is a LIGHT file cabinet. And since that's all I wanted I am perfectly happy with it. Arrived as promised, already assembled. It's a fair deal.

When I received the file cabinet the top drawer was dent. The cabinet came pretty much assemble except for the handles. There needs to be a different way that these types of file cabinets need to be shipped, maybe a stronger box perhaps! As i read the reviews I knew that a lot of other people had issues with the file cabinet coming to them being bent and damaged but for what I was going to use it for it seemed to be all that I could afford from all the other file cabinets I looked at online. It seemed to be the cheapest one! I did not want to put a lot of money in something that I am not going to use a lot! You get what you pay for!
