Rope bowls, coasters, placemats, baskets, etc.

So I purchased this to make a rope bowl. The picture is in green, which would have been very nice. When I received it, it came in an off-white. I will keep it anyway but just a thought if you had your heart set on the green. Otherwise, the size and quality appears to be as advertised. Thanks.

The rope is as described, however, there was a flaw about 20 feet into the 100. The rope is usable except near that flaw.

The rope reports it is 7/32 which by my math is 1.75 8ths or .875 4ths, which no matter how you slice it is less than a quarter inch.My carpenter says you need the slightly bigger size or the cord will not fit well in the rollers. If it is too small it jumps into the crack. So, it might be okay for a clothes line--probably is, but since it says it is sash cord and the use of that is window sashes and it can't be used for same, that deserves three stars!

I needed to replace the cords in my old windows. 100% cotton was recommended. I was surprisingly difficult to find the cord with no nylon in it. This is slightly thinner than the very old cord that was originally in place but seems like it'll work great. Good value for the money!

I bought this sash cord as it said it was all cotton. It isn't as it has a nylon center. I needed all cotton for wicks for an alcohol lamp. This wasn't and it would not work. It has a deceptive description. If you are really looking for 100% cotton this isn't it.

I had a hard time finding this in the local big box stores. Seems like they don't stock sash cords for old style windows anymore. I ordered this online at Amazon and it seems to work fine. It's not as stiff as the original, hope it lasts as long.

I LOVE this product. Other than the price (which I wish could be a bit less :-))it is truly what it claims to be...100% cotton rope...NO synthetic anywhere. I use it to make fabric covered baskets and it is great. I have tried to order other ropes that I thought were 100% cotton, but when they arrived, somewhere in tiny type on the label it had the 'poly' word....not so this one. It really is great for what I am using it for.
