If you do not have a rubber pole driver, you may want to consider getting one. I was able to directly smash the pole into the ground to depth with a regular sledge hammer after starting with a short sledge.I marked on the side of the pole how far into the ground it needed to go, before going outside to where the sign was being installed. This will help keep track of how far into the ground the signpost has already gone.Using a pickaxe, I created a starting hole about two feet off of the road. Using the shorter sledge and a level, I drove the pole into the ground a foot, then finished it off with the larger sledge.Make sure to organize your bolts and sign before installing the pole. And learn about your local sign laws to make sure you legally can install the sign where you are planning. You may find that a permit or permission from the land owner is needed first.Since installing the signpost at the correct depth, it has survived through rain in spring into winter with snow and snow plows. The weatherproof coating is a must if you would like the signpost to last.

I had two aluminum sign posts destroyed by our landscaper that mows our grass. I guess he didn't like mowing around them so destroyed them to elimate them. He won't be destroying this! This post would destroy his lawn mower instead.We had to dig a hole about 12" deep and then pounded the post down about another 12". It's not going anywhere and since it's so thick and heavy duty, it's not going to be bent in half.And this is galvanized steel so it will last a lifetime! I'll never have to buy another one.Exactly what I needed! Thank you!

I have bought these before. They are heavy duty and well galvanized. They are commercial grade signposts. Definitely sturdy and hold up and wind. That may cost a little bit more but they are worth every penny.

Very sturdy post. Ships with a label stuck to the bare post, which is not a bad thing. It's a little deep and wide for the most popular sign-mounting bolt and nut set on Amazon as of 09/2022.

This sign post is as tough as an anvil. It is a high quality sign post that is as good as any sign post I have ever seen on any sign on any street anywhere. Very thick metal. Very heavy for its size. This is the real thing. Rather than digging a hole I drove it in to the ground with a sledge hammer. After about 50 good hits with a sledge hammer it was in the ground for good. It did not bend or deform under very hard hits with the sledge hammer. This should last for 40+ years.

These did everything needed for my salon. I did DIY project outside of my salon parking lot and these did everything that needed to be done without paying a company $100s of dollars. Thank you!

plenty long enough to put 2 home security signs on (1 for alarm, 1 for cameras). maybe they read about the sticker issue - mine only had 2 toward the bottom that came off fairly easily.
