REAPER (77627) Shipwreck Revenant

This model looks amazing, and I was super excited for it.. It went together easy...and that's when the nightmare started. Reaper says they are primed and ready to paint out of the box. No. Even after washing it first, the paint wouldn't stick. I tried multiple brands. After stripping the paint, I tried to apply my own primer. I searched online for the best primer to use for Reaper Bones, and after using it, the miniature never cured. It remains extremely sticky and tacky to this day...

Really enjoyed painting this mini, it is a decently large figure making even one if my dragons seem small next to it so I did it over the process of 3-4 days only working for 2 or so hours a day.There are a lot of little details that could easily be looked over especially after you cover it in the base coat so you'll want a good light source to help pick up those small details.I purposely went with brightly colored coral to offset the darkness of the wood and used a dry brush to help bring out the details on the wood grain. I repositioned one of the arms to make it seem to be in motion and I moved the lamp on the front as I felt it was out of place where it was sculptedIt looked amazing on my gaming table and my group was in shock when it got put down, I would love to paint something like this again.

I purchased this as part of a Miniature Exchange program and I was very happy with this model. Apparently there is a small cannon piece that was missing from the item I received (should go on the left shoulder), but even with that missing piece I don't think the model is any less amazing. Definitely recommend this!

This Mini is a great value for a challenging monster. Its HUGE - standing at 6 inches tall and maybe 5 inches wide. It has a lot of good detail to paint and towers over 25mm/35mm heroes. It makes for a wonderful "boss" monster surprise for players.

I enjoyed painting this alot. I do recommend painting the figure before glueing it together, and then adding the finishing touches afterwards. Only downside I found was it was missing the small shoulder cannon which wasn't a big piece. If you like a challenging paint there are so many small details in this.

Another great Reaper product. This item comes in multiple pieces and will need joint lines filled. Probably not so much for a beginner due to the amount of detail on it. Mods seem endless for this product.

This model was resin and despite being a large/thick mold it arrived with several severely warped pieces. Returned.

Let down by the fact you have to buy a specific primer rather than use your usual primer. Without it, you’ll find the paint rubs off and the miniature is sticky.Fittings are slightly loose. Glue and baking soda mixed, work like concrete.Great details. Lovely design.
