Unconventional Flying Objects: A Former NASA Scientist Explains How UFOs Really Work
F**E
The ONLY book on UVOs you REALLY need to read: Unconventional Vectorially-Guided Objects
Despite some pages of esoteric information beyond my I.Q., this is the most interesting and exciting book I have ever read. This is the real deal.If you want solid interpretations by a real scientist about real extraterrestrial spacecraft, Paul Hill is your man. No better book has been written, and it astounds me that the scientific community and general media have swept it aside. (Or have they?)It is written by a bona fide employee of NASA, who was a real professor of aeronautics and one of the 20th Century's most renown engineers who personally consulted (and was consulted by) leading scientists. AND, as if this were not enough, the author even had his own Medium-Close Encounters, one of which was quite spectacular.Based on his training, Hill naturally (and reassuringly) emphasizes the "nuts-and-bolts" side of the UFO experience, with no New Age axe to grind.* He writes in an engaging, readable and idiomatic style with humour. But he also includes notes of his calculations every few pages, and he adds appendices with much thornier math--just in case you're interested! So, if you want the opinions about UFOs from a broadly respected and highly awarded scientist of genius level, but don't want to be overwhelmed by abstruse detail, the work is easily assimilated (just skim a little here and there). BUT if you want more in-depth analysis, it's available. In my hubris-filled opinion, if you are even moderately interested in this topic and hate the tabloid-style of writing as I do, you will find yourself immediately engaged, then deeply involved and excited by page 52. It is on this page that he states "At the Langley Research Center, I became a sort of clearing house for local UFO sightings. We had good reports because they were made by scientist- and engineer-types who had volunteered for aircraft spotting duty." Yow!A FEW NOTES and QUOTES:*"...I don't discuss `other planes of existence' and like concepts, which have an ample background in the thinking of the Middle Ages, but none whatsoever in science." (p.419)On the misleading term `UFO': "It is assumed that anyone with a good dictionary can see why unidentified is a misnomer. As to flying... Unconventional objects, or craft, don't fly. They are vectored along trajectories."(p.26-27)"Being knowledgeable of U.S. Government secrets on propulsion, I have known from the start that UFOs could not possibly be of Earth-technology manufacture." (p.311)"Because of my career as a research scientist...I have had advanced knowledge of UFO technology but was effectively muzzled by the NACA [NASA] policy laid down by its Director, Dr. Hugh L. Dryden, that UFOs are nonexistent." (p.319) [I wonder what exactly he means by "I have had advanced knowledge of UFO technology"...?]"Nothing goes faster than light, but spaceships can go more quickly as reckoned by their own time." (p.328)"Incidentally, subatomic particles often travel through water faster than light travels through water, so "nothing travels faster than light" without further qualification is a loose statement." (p.396)"Space travel is not naïve--it is inevitable!" (p.335)"The forces in the everyday world around us are electric..." (p.296)"The dazzling maneuver performance of UFO scout ships seems to result from their being over-designed for the investigation of planet Earth... Exploring Earth is UFO play. I am reasonably sure of the correctness of my maneuver analyses based not only on a lifetime of experience with missile dynamics, but more importantly on the actual simulation of UFO-type maneuvers while personally engaged in flying platform research piloting." (p.319)(Holy Cow, if that don't pique your interest in this man, go back to reading the "Weird News" section of the Huffington Post and call it a day. Included in the book are photos of the author riding his flying platforms, by the way. He also invented "rocket shoes"...)On page 330, Hill gives his objection to the argument that mass increases without bounds for an object accelerated toward light speed.~ ~ ~Given current events, it seems prescient that he once told his daughter that we have more to fear from the IRS than from anyone from outer space. And as a final thought, here is one last interesting quote from the book, which leads me to a related reference:"The high sighting rate of UFOs gives the impression that stellar civilizations are closer together than estimated by exobiologists. ...many aliens seem very sensitive to light. If these have colonized and adapted to planets of the highly numerous red stars, this would change the whole civilization distribution picture, but would be consistent with UFO data."For those of you with any interest in such things, and considering also the earlier quote about everything is electric, compare the above thought to the Plasma Universe theory of exobiology: do an Internet search for "Other stars, other worlds, other life?" and read about the possibility of life around red and "brown" stars; specifically: "life is not only possible inside the glow of a small brown dwarf, it seems far more likely than on a planet orbiting outside a star..."And lest you think this an outrageous idea, even NASA makes interesting and corroborating observations such as "We also see evidence of water in the form of superheated steam" around such stars; and in one of their many contradictory statements: "One of the Y dwarfs is less than 80 degrees Fahrenheit ... making it the coldest star-like body known." (Search for "WISE finds few brown dwarfs close to home")So, the conditions for supporting intelligent life may be much more prevalent, and close-by, than many statistics-wielding astronomers have thought.

A tremendous analytical volume, a special book...
Well, it's about time someone delved (deeply!) into all the phenomenal characteristics of these alien craft that are visiting Earth. The author has a keen and commanding knowledge of physics and math AND how to relate the myriad of sightings to what we know. This book is unquestionably the most comprehensive (exhaustive?) analysis of ALL aspects of flight dynamics and ways and means that may be used to achieve what we see during the sightings. The contents are challenging to read in some parts and I would say an analytical mind would be a huge asset since the author is very thorough and focused on arriving at his conclusions. Don't be "put off" by this book , its contents are arrived at logically and by thorough analysis, a real revelation to me as I revel in his intelligent and focused approach to topics I personally am intensely curious about. I have read numerous books regarding ufo's, on many different topics but this book stands apart from them all. If you really want to get a into a detailed analysis of all aspects of ufo flight characteristics, THIS is your book. A side note, the author mentions very early that this is not a book on "unidentified" flying objects. His point is that these "objects" have been identified for a long time and that they are simply UNCONVENTIONAL, thus unconventional flying objects is much more factual...

so happy to have it !!
Great book and thoroughly researched by the writer. Though he has made and proved some points mathematically or scientifically as they use field propulsions, vector path, time for space travel etc. But I still somewhere believe that there is still lot more to it to know further. Wish writer could lived 100 more years carrying his research and sharing details with all.

Impressive! ....posted by Nikon
I've been reading UFO books since the 1960s. Many provide a tantalizing or entertaining piece of the puzzle, typically in the form of anecdotal observations labeled as investigations, or speculation labeled as truth, or a bunch of hand waving (valid but still feeble) about how tough it is to prove something so fleeting to a public so demanding of proof and so quick to label evidence as insufficient, mistaken, or hoaxed. This book, like all UFO books, necessarily has some anecdotal observations, and that part of it will stand the test of time only a bit better than in the more typical books. But the real heart of this book is the technical analysis of the anecdotal observations, which doesn't rely upon any one observation. If you possibly believe even just one anecdote of one high-performance trajectory (extremely tight turn, or extremely fast acceleration, or even just supersonic speed without a sonic boom) of one UFO not necessarily even from anywhere other than Earth, you need this book. Ditto if you disbelieve those anecdotes due to thinking they're impossible. This guy did a lot of thinking about the mechanisms needed in order to explain the anecdotes, and he got it right. I don't even care if some of the finest details of his proposed mechanisms are based on slightly outdated physics. Whether the dust settles in 10 years, 100 years, or 1000 years to find the exact answers based on the exact physics, the gist of what is so brilliantly pieced together in this book to explain it all, will still be true. To say that physics has moved beyond what what available to this author in his day, is like saying that oil paint has moved beyond what DaVinci painted with. That is true, but it's not the quality of the paint that counts, it's the quality of the painting. This book is a masterpiece.I highly recommend it for anyone interested in UFOs, or even just interested in reading. While I have an engineering degree, and it helps in understanding more precisely what he means at times, it is not necessary. Someone who doesn't understand the equations can still understand what the author explains them to mean. The author uses equations to analyze and explain things which are complicated, because that is what equations are for. Some folks use equations to complicate and hide the truth, others to simplify and reveal it. In this case, you can trust his words interpreting the equations. How to actually use technology to generate the required forces to do the things UFOs do, is another matter, but the forces are needed in order to explain the anecdotal trajectories. He is explaining it from the same perspective as Isaac Newton would have explained what forces would be needed to explain a car someone claimed to see going around a corner at 225mph at Indianapolis. Yet if you showed Newton a car doing exactly that, he could not be expected to know exactly what mechanical design, or what technology, or what fuel, should be used in the Indycar engine. In fact, he wouldn't necessarily even know that the car burned fuel or had an engine inside it, just the the car somehow had certain forces applied to it.Last but not least, this book has a low level of strangeness about it, which is refreshing for a UFO book. It's nice not to have to wonder whether to believe something fairly bizarre, or whether believing that one, leads you farther down the slippery slope to believing something even crazier, then something even crazier than that. Where to draw the line regarding gullibility vs truth when it comes to strangeness, is my least favorite aspect of reading/thinking about UFOs. Not because I hate thinking about it, but it gets burdensome to think about it at every turn of a page. This book sticks largely to the nuts and bolts aspects of UFOs, so it's not going to cause any nightmares compared to abduction books etc. Get the book, I'm glad I did, it's a keeper.

Many info about the matter.
The authors searched the matter thoroughly with reference to many aspects of it including space technology as much as we know and chemical spot of UFO's presence, many theories and astronomy data. Aerospatial details. I'm sure he puzzled himself a lot in order to submit a superb material as far as we can reach...Excellent job...!!!

Best UFO book ever
The best UFO book I have ever read. Really drills into the engineering possibilities for these craft while taking the topic absolutely seriously.Even though I am not a physical engineer myself, I still have that mindset and just marvel at the intricacy and detail put into everything in this book. This guy, quite obviously was very, very smart and incredibly knowledgeable about the physical sciences. This book has aged extremely well as a result.I recommend it for anyone with an engineering bent and a curiosity about UFO’s. if you had any doubts about them previously, you won’t after reading this.

Un must !
