Holds up great even to steel core ammunition
I have wanted to shoot steel for a long time and bought this once I found a place in the country where I could shoot longer distance. The steel target gives a very satisfying "ping" and the angled design, along with the spring, relieves most concern about ricochets. The target held up well, even to some fairly hot steel core 7.62x54r rounds which will punch holes in fairly hard steel.Beyond that, the target was fairly easy to assemble. We did need a drill to put it together (to make some holes in the 2x4 used for mounting), but all the bolts could be hand tightened. It's cumbersome to carry longer distances once assembled, and does take a minute to break down since a few bolts have to be removed, but it is not so awkward that carrying it a few hundres yards is not possible, and it can still fit in a small car once you remove the 2x4.I found the concerns about ricochets damaging the legs to not be a concern. You do find lead dust all over the target and the legs, but the target taks off enough velocity (at least from what we were shooting) that the legs looked fine. What was a little problematic was people shooting low and hitting the 2x4 portion of the stand. Since beginner pistol shooters tend to push their shots low, this got hit fairly often. I definitely recommend bringing a spare 2x4 - we got lucky the stand held up even though it was ~50% skinnier in a few sections!

Was worried, but this thing is nice
Was concerned this was crap because it was cheap, but I shot this thing up at ~20-36 yards with 9mm and 5.56 and it held up. No holes, but some tiny shallow craters/dimples where the 5.56 rounds hit. 9mm rounds really did no damage, except to the paint.Drilling the 2x4(purchased separately) was easy, and the whole thing fit together pretty quickly. Not hard to remove the base and travel with it as two sections. This thing is sturdy, the base is pretty large.

Great targets
Well made, durable targets

Excellent for 223/556 at 100+ yards
This target has been an excellent investment. I got the 3/8 thickness and it stands up to rounds from my AR-15 very well from 100 yards or more, and is great for shooting my hand guns at closer range. The only thing with this target is you have to drill holes in a 2x4 (not included), which you’ll use as the post, to attach the target to. Every once in a while the 2x4 catches a stray round, weakening it- I know eventually I’ll have to drill another 2x4 to replace it. But if you don’t mind doing the 5-10 minutes of work to prepare a post, this target is awesome. The *ping* of the bullet hitting the steel target is SO satisfying.

Great sized target with sturdy base.
Got this to add to my small collection of targets that you only need to set up once. I primarily only used this with hand gun rounds (9mm, .45acp, .380) and the target stood up with an issue. Even with wind gusts of ~20MPH, the wide base of the target held up just fine with no movement. There is a nice "ping" sound when hit, and the angle is good to deflect shrapnel downwards. Pro tip: If you want to protect the stand from shrapnel, throw a couple of sand bags on the legs of the base to absorb some of the shrapnel. The assembly of this was pretty straight forward even without looking at the instructions. It would have been nice of the length of the head and base mount were a little bit smaller as both needed 2+ shims to make everything tight. I do like that you can use a taller piece of lumber if you want to raise the target. I had mine at about 5 ft, with no movement issues with the base. The top mount could use some additional gussets on the spring attachment point as I could see this bending over time with the weight and hundreds of round impacts.Overall, i'm pretty satisfied with this target and looking to throw hundreds of more rounds at it.Pros: - No issues at all with all the pistol calibers I threw at it - Good angle to deflect shrapnel - Stands up to desert winds with no issues - Different length lumber can adjust target heightCons: - Mount length could be shortened or more shims provided - Tool-less assembly would be nice if possible (I just leave mine partially assembled all the time) - Nylock nuts on lumber mount would help with vibrations from working them loose instead of the "lock" washers that do a poor job at this.

Actually decent target
This thing has held up to so much more than I expected it to. We've beat the hell out of it with '-06 and .308 at distances that I don't recommend using steel targets at, and so far this thing hasn't seemed to care. It's solid, and stands up well even without stakes. It's also big enough to see from distance, which is nice. Fair warning tho, if you're planning to use this as a portable target like we do, bring along a sturdy dude to carry it downrange and back. It's quite heavy, and unwieldy once set up.

Decently sturdy
It's able to hang a full size IPSC Caldwell target so I'm happy with it!

Great targets
Bought this one used like new condition, box was a little worn out but the target is perfect condition. This is the 5th one I've bought and and couldn't be happier with the highwild targets. They sing out good and loud when hit plus they hold up to thousands and thousands of hits. If you're not a great shot you may have to replace the 2x4 post every so often. I'd give highwild targets 10 stars if I could.

works well enough
It does come with everything except perhaps the 2x4. The base is a bit flimsy but it works. The target is decent steel. All chinese made but acceptable for the price. No damage from 55g 223 from 100m
