Carson Dellosa | Beginning Math Workbook | 1st Grade, 64pgs (Home Workbooks) (Volume 2)

This is our second book of Carson-Dellosa Publishing after their phonics book which is truly educational. First we bought Workbooks-Addition and Subtraction Grades 1-2 of SCHOOL ZONE-Workbook. But after a few pages it was getting difficult for my 3.5 year old kid's age. So we searched for a maths book which will be advanced as well as educational and appropriate for her age. So we took Beginning Math, Grade 1: Gold Star Edition of Carson-Dellosa Publishing as we were highly satisfied by their Phonics book. We are happy we made the right choice. My kiddo just loves this book. She is having fun while working on each page.This is a 64 page activity book and has lots of exercises to work on. It teaches different important concepts which can surely build a strong base for a child’s maths knowledge.This workbook teaches different concepts likea) Shapesb) Countingc) Additiond) Subtractione) Patternsf) Measurement and so on.After the child masters on these she can work on complex exercises on word problems also.Same like Phonics book this book also has a 140 star sticker page wherefrom the child can get a sticker as soon as she completes each exercise perfectly. My child loves to stick the sticker on her own and she feels proud of her achievement and the prize.There is anger key to the exercises but we never look at this.Overall this book is the best book so far to make a child’s maths base strong.

My 4 year old loves this book. I skipped the lower level books because I wanted more than tracing numbers and reviwing shapes. He quickly picked up on the concepts (with guidance) and likes getting the star stickers after completing each page. He gets excited as he learns the different math facts, and happily recites them for others. This book is a great tool for early practice!

We really like this book. My kindergarten son likes the activities and is motivated by the sticker chart at the end. There is a good mix of skills included (addition, subtraction, money, time, graphing, word problems, etc). We are using this to supplement our homeschool curriculum.

This is a great workbook to use as a math supplement.

This math is for kindergarten, this is not 1st grade math. Great book though

The book has a lot of nice worksheet and activities. Good for the price

as expected, variety of topics touched on in easy to follow pages.

This is a perfect beginner math book. It is straight forward and allows the child to do it on their own or with a parent present. I will continue to buy the Gold Star as we progress through the levels of math. Will definitely have on hand in the summer to keep the little ones on track!

Good book with different types of activities, to use as reinforcement/ enrichment for bright kindergarten kid during last quarter of school year.

It came really quick and my daughter does one of these books an hour before bed.
