My new favorite flavor of XyloBurst gum. This is the third flavor of XyloBurst gum I have purchased. I am a daily gum chewer. Peppermint is great and this is better, or maybe I just needed a change. I am not a fan of their cinnamon flavor. Anyhow the point of this gum is that the sweetness comes from xylitol which is not real sugar and it has no harmful health problems associated with artificial sweeteners. Xylitol does not make insulin spike so is great for using when you are trying to be gentle on your pituitary gland to prevent diabetes or if you have diabetes. Xylitol is expensive which explains why this gum is higher in cost than corn syrup or artificial sweetener gums on the market. I save money by purchasing only the 100 count or 500 count XyloBurst, I avoid the smaller packs as they just cost too much. The flavor of the spearmint is nice. All XyloBurst gums are NOT overpowering. A downside which bothers my husband more than me is they tend to quickly lose flavor and after a half hour you are chewing something with no taste. That is FINE by me because I use gum to clear away coffee breath or after a meal to clear food taste out of my mouth, primarily, or when I just need my mouth freshened up when I'm on the go and tooth brushing is not an option. Not long ago I asked my dentist if chewing sugar free gum was consequence free for my teeth like the commercials suggest. I believed the commercials my whole life. The dentist said I actually need to brush my teeth after chewing sugar free gum because it's not harmless to teeth. Then she told me about xylitol gum. She said it's actually good for my teeth and truly consequence free. So I set out on a mission to find the best brand of xylitol gum. I found that unfortunately ALL of them don't have very long lasting flavor. Some were worse than others. This brand has the best, strongest flavor that last the longest of all the brands I could find. I have to chew gum to keep from smoking and snacking and this fits the bill without rotting my teeth. I recommend it.

The gum taste good. It doesn’t get hard and stale very fast.

I started chewing this when pregnant to avoid aspartame. The flavor does fade pretty quickly, but its still good to chew for a while after that. It doesn't get hard, or taste bad, just looses the strong minty flavor. It does seem to help clean your teeth.

This gum is a godsend for me. As some one who gets migraines from Aspartame, has the genetic disposition to taste all artificial sweeteners as bitter, and as a "super taster" who possesses double the normal amount taste buds, I can not recommend this gum enough. It has a great flavor and it tastes like gum used to when sugar was used as the sweetener, with the added bones of not getting headaches from it. This gum has no weird sickly-sweet bitter taste or lingering, almost metallic, aftertaste you get from most all artificial sweeteners. Plus, it is good for your teeth. However, it does have some draw backs. The flavor is short lived and I feel the need to chew 2-3 pieces at a time to have a staffing amount of gum to chew on. This makes it a bit pricy for how long the jar lasts but for me, the expense is worth it. No store carries a gum I can chew for 100 miles around so I don't mined paying a little extra to order something I will enjoy. Five Star. (Some back story. I have not chewed gum since high school, almost 20 years ago now. Long story short I stopped chewing gum because every gum company started switching away from sugar sweetened gum to using only aspartame in the mid 2000s and it gave me migraines during school.)

Texture is fine, does not fall apart, but flavor does not last. If chewing for oral health, this should do the trick. Did not care for spearmint flavor, may try another flavor

I did a lot of searching online for ways to protect my gums. Xylenol is highly recommended. These chicklette-sized gum and Xylenol toothpaste seem to be making a small difference according to the dentist.
