First impressions: size, fit, materials
Literally arriving minutes ago, this is about first impressions. Tanning differs; the hide I received is much lighter and yellower than the picture; not quite mustard, but not pumpkin orange. The leather is suede both sides, very soft and compliant. It's shedding a tiny bit, but not even worth mentioning. It's a good bit softer than I expected, but from prior experience with suede, I have no doubt it will be tough enough. It ranges from .050" to .070" in thickness at the edges (~.13-.18mm). The "fuzz" makes it look thicker. It's assembled from seven pieces, well-stitched and riveted very securely at the outer edges. Looks well made.Straps are a fairly lightweight, light yellow webbing, perhaps cotton, but I suspect by feel a cotton/synthetic blend. They're not 100% synthetic, not nylon. They're sewn to the leather with a box & cross stitch of good size. Hardware is plastic, probably OK. It's a suspender arrangement, not a single neck loop. Both the suspender length and the waist belt are adjustable. The apron is 42" (1067mm) long, 11" (280mm) wide at the very top, 23" (584mm) at the middle, and tapers to 25" (635mm) at the bottom of the skirt. I'm 6' 2" (1880mm) tall, 255 pounds (116kg). I'm fairly small framed and waaaay too big in the middle, about 50" (1270mm) around the table muscle. After shortening the suspenders to get the bib up to my collarbone, the apron extends to my knees. I could wish for it to be wider at the belly and skirt, since it tends to fall into pleats like a window curtain, but it will cover all but my sides. It will stop the strawberries against the thighs and upper body when welding, and stop the red hot projectiles as I begin to fool with forging. It weighs 1 lb. 14 oz. (~840g).I'm pleased in all respects. Price is reasonable. I paid 345 for a full skin ten years ago. To get this for 31 is a deal. I'm very pleased with the supple leather. You can tuck it between the thighs as necessary. It's not like wearing a cardboard box.If you're a really big--that is, stocky--guy, I think you're going to find the fit marginal in width. Slender folks will find there's plenty of leather here. The package size states "ALL," the size on the apron is "large."For those who can't figure out the straps:You do know, of course, that the Lincoln logo faces away from your body. Hold the apron up so that you have an opening between the two straps sewn to the top, the two you see in the product photo. Arrange the rest to make an opening on each side of this, a total of three, left to right. Your head goes in the middle hole, between the leather and the black plastic "strap organizer," which lives behind you, on your back. One arm goes in each of the other holes, like wearing a backpack on your chest . The waist strap will then dangle on your left side. Pull it around behind and snap it on the right.

Lovely. And it works!
Love metalwork. This will keep you safe, especially with more PPE when appropriate. Yes, grinding or smithing will require less PPE than pouring iron.Anyway, I once was pouring aluminum once into a less-than-secured mould. So, The mould burped and molten metal flew my way. And? Nothing happened! My apron caught most of it, and nothing got through. I got away without a mark on me.Wear your PPE.

Good work clothes.
Adjustable and durable. Gear for working in the shop. A chest pocket would be a nice addition though.

Good quality for the price.
I have put this apron to extreme test. I’m a extreme fabrication and heavy welder. It has taken a torture test for sure. 3 months in and holding strong. Dislikes. Tricky to climb and in and out of and the seams inside tend to catch and hold metal grind dust that itches the hel* out of your belly. And the clips are cheap plastic that seems could break easily. But all in all I’m impressed. I’m A fat man and it fits decent. It is also much longer than i expected. If you are under 5’10 it will drag the ground.

Great fit for big guys
This is a great apron for a large guy! I typically wear XXL size in most things. I also wear a 52" jacket and would be classified as a big man. Other aprons are generally too small on me and I've struggled to fasten them in the back. I have been able to wear this apron comfortably for extended welding sessions. It provides good coverage. My sides are still protected and I am able to easily fasten the clip in the back. The apron is longer than others that I've worn. It easily covers below the knees on me. The leather is also softer and more pliable than other aprons I've worn. Overall, I've been quite happy with this apron.PROS: Good fit, back straps are easy to snap, comfortable, length covers past knees.CONS: Clasps are cheap plastic and will probably break in the future.

Great welding apron
This has been holding up really well so far with direct grinding sparks hitting it from 18'' away. It is not hardening like some leathers do when grinding for long periods of time. Its thick and made really well. I am 5'10'' and weigh 200lbs and there is tons of room on the adjustment straps. I like that it comes down all the way to my mid shins protecting my cloths. Its holding up great when I weld with no burn holes yet. For the price this is a great value for what you get.

Great for Forging
I use this as part of my safety gear when I am forging and it has worked fantastic. I would recommend if you are welding or doing anything with hot steel, you grab one of these to protect you against sparks, slag or any other flying debris.

Decent Light Welders Apron
Little thinner than I wanted but at the price I paid I will accept that. Seams and what not look good and strong. I just do light duty welding maybe once a month if that so I should get a lot of wear out of this apron.
