Works great
Very handy tool works great and is built to last for sure ,, it says it can only due down 12ga but it can do any size you just have to pull it by hand which on small wire is easy,, I scrap a lot of old services that are pulled out of places and I ran a 1/0 wire thru this on a drill gun and it will literally strip it as fast as the drill gun will spin

that was inexpensive and easy to use
I had been looking for a long time to find a machine to strip a pile of copper wire, about 700 lbs., that was inexpensive and easy to use. I found this one and I couldn't be happier. After about 5 minutes setting it up, it took less than 2 hours to strip the whole pile. I didn't have any idea that it would be that fast but it did the trick without any problems at all. The price was very good and the workmanship and quality of the machine was way beyond what I expected. I bought an extra cutter wheel, just in case but the one that came with the machine, after stripping the pile, looked as if it hadn't been used. If you have any copper wire to strip from 1/4" to 1" in dia. this is the ticket.

very good low cost option
worked quite well when you got the hang of it. i used it to strip everything from 12awg to 500kcmil with little problem. an issure with this design is the black plate on the front used to feed the wire into the rollers. if you are chainging the wire size you may need to switch plates. it would be better if the extra parts could be stored on the unit itself and not loose. i attached mine to an angle iron so i could park this in my vice. it can be used with a drill with the handle attached just be careful and get a vairiable speed drill with lots of speed reduction, you dont want it spinning very fast its made to be hand cranked. the adjustment knob on top is something you will need to get very comfortable playing with. ROI is a matter of perspective. what is your time worth? is it worth the difference in sale price of insulated vs bare bright? some places will remove the insulation for very little money.

Does work on THHN
I took a gamble when i bought this because it said it wouldn't strip thhn. That is not true. I do believe that they meant it doesn't strip Romex cable not thhn. If you strip the outer coating off the romex it will strip the strand of wire inside the romex with breeze. It doe a great job on all wire . The hand crank is good for 2/0 and larger wire . A cordless drill is must for smaller wire. I have had this machine for about a month and I havent had a problem. So if you are looking for something that will strip thhn. this will do the job. It does slip on some supper slick wire but once you get it start just help it through till the weight of the wire help pull it through. Best decision ever
Put over 1000' of copper wire through it the first weekend I had it, once set to the proper depth it eats up wire nicely in a fraction of the time. Only problem I had was if I left phase tape on, sometimes it would gum up the rollers... Nothing a wire brush couldn't fix within seconds. Love this thing, wish I had gotten it years ago
