Gorgeous Oval Bowls!
This is a lovely pair of serving bowls. The oval, shallow aesthetic is stylish enough for a dinner party and yet simple enough for everyday use. They also work for ample individual servings of soup, salad, pasta, ice cream or anything you choose to prepare. I can't speak to their durability quite yet as they only arrived today.

Well made Bowls
Well made porcelain bowls better than I expected, so I ordered two more sets! Can use as food serving bowl (bought for long green beans,) or for personal sized salads. I searched high and low in stores and finally found what I wanted on Amazon!Also, was shipped incredibly protected in tightly wrapped styrofoam! Yay Amazon!

Exactly the right size, with an atypical but exactly right shape
We bought these bowls to hold salads which are to be the main (or only) course for dinner. To use a dinner plate has been inelegant, and none of our soup bowls are large enough. These bowls are exactly the right size, and their non-circular shape is pleasingly novel and very functional.(I have given 5 stars to "Sturdiness" and "Durability" based on our somewhat limited experience to date. To invoke a pair of clichés, time will tell and so far, so good.)

Versatile Bowls (Small Glazing Flaws, One Later Cracked)
UPDATE: Now I see why these are not labeled Dishwasher/Microwave Safe—Added a 3rd photo showing the crack that I found when taking out of the dishwasher recently. (Also took off one more star—these are still nice bowls, but not as durable as I thought.)Original review: These are pretty nIce, versatile bowls. We’re primarily using them for popcorn—easy to spray with avocado/olive oil and salt without scattering the popcorn. (Would also be good for single-dish meals like pasta or stir-fry.) I would give five stars, assuming durability over time, if not for the two small glazing flaws, one on each bowl as shown in the photos.

Super streamlined, beautiful, and just the right size for 3-4 servings.

Way too Oval
Oval to me is when the width is about 1/2 the length. Unfortunately, these bowls are really slender and long, width is probably closer to 1/3rd the length. I returned them because they just didn't look right to me. I could see using them if you had a variety of geometries for plates and other table wear, but I just didn't think they fit. It would help greatly if there was a better picture to help you judge.
