Coming of age
I loved every word of this book! Miranda is a new author for me and I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on a couple of her books now. The Boys Next Door is a coming of age book featuring twins Ian and Brennan, and their next door neighbor Diana. These three grew up together and were best friends. Unfortunately Diana’s family moved and she had to go to a new school, where she was bullied and made to feel that her maturing body was something to be ashamed of. Having been gone for a year, her family moved back but her insecurities and shyness keep her away from her childhood friends.Ian and Brannon are the popular, hot guys in school. They have it all...looks, charisma, athleticism and are the kings of the school. Whenever they see Diana they try to build their friendship back up but she pushes them away. Now it’s her senior year and she’s graduating, ready to head to college. The boys make it their goal to break her out of her shell and show her that her body is made to worship and her sexuality is beautiful. When feelings develop between Ian and Diana it almost ruins the threesome but I known to her Ian feels the same way.Great characters, HOT scenes, and a storyline that will leave your panties wet! Loved it!

Not your typical erotica. I love these characters!
4.5 StarsShow of hands, who here loves a good erotic read every now and then? This is me raising my hand. Actually, it's more like me raising my hand while jumping up and down. I love well done erotica and The Boys Next Door was fantastic. It's absolutely my favorite erotic book of the year."She, Diana Cooper, certified shy girl who’d worked her a-- off to get into Yale, who was two weeks away from her high school graduation, and who’d never had the nerve to live out any of her wild fantasies before yesterday, had gone around every base and then some with the boys next door."One of the reasons The Boys Next Door stood out for me was that it took the New Adult genre and gave it a dirty little twist. Not many erotica authors write characters who float around in the high school/college age range. But instead of making it feel awkward first-time author Miranda Silver created a back story that helped give the characters purpose. It's not just a sex party free for all - okay yes, there is an insane amount of sex, but I also felt invested in the characters. In fact, one of my only complaints was that I wanted the story to continue into Diana's college days. There's such a great build up between Diana and the twins that I wanted to see how their journey would continue when Diana went to college.“You’re just playing with me.” This couldn’t be real. Her buzzing head, her heavy warm body, Ian’s hand and mouth everywhere again as the water lapped around them.“Maybe I’m just pi-sed Brendan got here first,” Ian rasped in her ear. “Did you think about that?I genuinely fell in love with Diana and the twins. I know it can be hard to make a connection with characters in erotica. If it's not written well erotica is just a whole lot of sex with transparent characters who you honestly don't even need to remember their names. But Diana, Brendan, and Ian all had their own personalities and quirks. Diana looked like a straight laced nerd on the outside, but past experiences with boys shaped the way she felt about herself as well as the way she interacted with others. Brendan was the "good twin" who had a devious streak. Ian was the "bad twin" whose intentions toward Diana weren't exactly what they seemed. I loved watching them interact, and they constantly surprised me which was why I was so bummed when the story came to an end."She was a bad girl, she was a good girl —who knew what the truth really was."If you're looking for something sexy and unexpected, pick up The Boys Next Door. It's filthy and fun in the best kind of way.

Coming (and coming and coming) of age
Just like its main character, Miranda Silver's debut erotic novel is both smart AND sexy. Forsaking the popular trappings of BDSM-obsessed billionaires and lycanthropic lovers, this simple suburban fantasy charts a course through a young woman's sexual insecurity, surrender, and empowerment, in a series of pants-meltingly-hot trysts with her hunky neighbors. Don't let the "romance" in the title fool you-- the action here is explicit, torrid, and blistering, though it thankfully never crosses the line into squickiness. While the story is undeniably effective at stirring the reader's naughty bits, it also offers plenty of emotional stimulation as well. The characters are relatable and surprisingly complex, as they deal with anxiety, confusion, attraction, jealousy... you know, the Actual Human Feelings™ that accompany the doing of the deed. But perhaps most surprisingly, The Boys Next Door stands out in its sheer level of professional craftsmanship. Unlike an alarming percentage of the erotica offerings on the Kindle store, there's nary a spelling or grammatical error to be found in these pages. And there's something to be said for reading smut penned by someone who knows the difference between "there," "their," and "they're." Sure, it's not supposed to be Shakespeare (though I'd totally buy a version converted into iambic pentameter... "Bromeo and Juliet?"), but it's refreshing to find authors in the genre who respect their audience and their material enough to present it with some professionalism.

Young love with a twist
I absolutely loved this book. The characters were so well written, I enjoyed getting to know Diana, Ian and Brendan. A story of girl lives next to boys, girl grows up with boys, boys seduce girl, boy falls in love with girl. Very hot scenes with Diana loosing her virginity to her twins and exploring her sexual needs, the twins also experiencing something new with her. I rooted for Ian, even though a bad boy he clearly had fallen for her. Brendan I suspect is bad to the bone hopefully there will be a Brendan sequel. This is one of my all time favourite stories, thanks Silver

4 Sex Bomb Stars ⭐
Diana never imagined that fantasies could become reality. Hidden behind retro clothing and glasses, she uses it to shield her voluptuous curves and crushing shyness. On the cusp of graduating high school and heading to Yale, she hadn't expected her friendship to be rekindled with the boys next door. Diana and the O'Brien twins were once friends, thick as thieves, that was until her insecurities consumed her and changed the person she once was. When Brendan and Ian are given an opportunity to welcome Diana back into their lives, they'll not waste this chance to show her how much they've really missed her...And show her they did in many ways, over and over. This is Miranda Silver's debut novel and she did not refrain in writing a menage story worth drooling over. Ian and Brendan who had lusted over their little neighbor Diana, were more than willing to initiate her into the world of naked pleasures. But who will get the girl? Guess I'll need book 2!
