Doctored Locks Synthetic KK Ultra Jumbo Braid Artist Fiber for Braids, Twists and Dreadlock Hair Extensions - Chocolate Cherry

I got black hole, space dust, snow white, and blue steel. I love all of them!! The black hole, space dust, and white are in the first two pics and look really cool together!! The last two are blue steel, white, and black (I didn't buy the black from here). It's a bit tricky to pick out hair because while the color is the same as what's pictured when it's compacted in a braid or twist light bounces off of it differently so the color isn't exactly the same, it tends to look a bit darker so keep that in mind.I see a lot of complaints about the hair getting tangled, I've never had a problem with that but I've been braiding for a very long time. I tend to like the regular hair over the silky variety because it's easier to work with as far as keeping the hair from slipping when you put it in. However, the silky hair is less prone to getting tangled if that's a problem you foresee having. This hair is higher quality than what I'm used to. I usually dip the ends of my braids in hot water but to seal these braids you need more heat so I use a flat iron.All and all I love this hair, the price is good, the colors are fun and novel, and the quality is high so it requires buying fewer packs of hair than you would buy from a beauty supply store (I'd say 30% less). Normally I'd buy 5 or 6 packs but from here I only need 4. My only gripe is the length, I wish it was longer that 24". I'm used to having 36" to 42".

I attempted to write a review but it sent before I was finished typing.I'll start with the delivery, these were shipped much faster then the expected delivery date which was very convenient since I wanted my dreads done before a concert.The package was solid and the hair was in perfect condition so no complaints there.The reasons behind the 4 stars are as follows;First, I ordered 4 jumbo packages and unfortunately each package did not have a uniform amount of hair. Each dread used the same amount of hair, but while one package yielded 7 dreads, another only 5 and another only 4.Secondly: Some of the hair was very silky smooth, while other was in a weird crimped fashion.And third: The hair was somewhat difficult to backcomb but once I figured out a strategy to keep it from creating giant loops all was fine.The hair was extremely easy to seal using a steaming method and has held up very nicely.Overall I am very pleased with this product, I have received many compliments on my dreads and plan to continue ordering from this company in the future.

I've been using the jet black to make synthetic dreads and the first 2 bags were great, however, the third bag was a completely different feel, texture, and melting point. It felt cheaper and more plasticky. So as much as I'd give the first 2 bags 5/5 stars...the lack of consistent quality knocks my opinion down to 3/5 stars.EDIT: I purchased 6 more bags in various colors from this seller, 2 bags were Jet Black, and every bag has the great quality fiber. Maybe it was a fluke for that one bag with subpar quality, but I upped my rating of this product from 3/5 to 4/5. I'll definitely keep purchasing from Doctored Locks.

I bought two packs of hair, one pixie pink and the other purple nurple. Both colors were definitely brighter and more neon like than potrayed in the picture but it did not affect my overall experience. When taking the hair out of the packaging, I recommend being extra gentle and careful, especially when sectioning the hair whether its braids or dreadlocks. It can get tangled and matted very quickly which I guess is a plus for dreadlocking but not braids. However, when you do finally finish the braids, it sticks together well and if you dont dip in hot water, have no fear because they will not come undone easily. I enjoyed this hair overall!

Purple Nurple is very dark and more reddish than shown. More of a royal purple. After checking their website I've noticed more accurate color swatches. If you search for an actual photo of the product you can make a more accurate decision. Their website has a list of color palettes on their blog where you can see some of the products in its packaging rather than the swatch, or you can search the name of the color on amazon.

Omg! Thank you so much for putting out such a great product! I've used other brands of synthetic hair to make dreads, and they were pretty, but they ended up feeling like rope, and was really rough on the hands. This fiber is soft and silky and dreads beautifully! I'm so excited to have these on my head! I will never order from any other company again! I'm planning on making many sets of dreads in the future! I'll post pictures of the final product when I get a few made and sealed! I'd recommend this hair to anyone looking to buy kanekalon!

For the price, I definitely wouldn't complain. However, if I could go back I would use better quality hair. The hair was not straight and smooth but rather very frizzy and seemed crimped or something. In theory this would make the hair easier to grip and therefore easier to braid in, however this was not the case. It was actually more difficult to braid and uncomfortable on the hands. Additionally, the unbraided ends looks bushy and unattractive. I had to boil them to get them to be straighter and more normal looking.

First off, I bought in bulk, which might have saved me some $; since they only charged me s&h for two. And the blue is as excepted in fact every color I ordered was exactly like the photo, or extremely close to it. I noticed one review before ordering that suggested that the blue might not be as advertised- something along the lines of "dream blue was more of a royal blue instead." I did debate it and figured what the heck if its wrong I'd send it back, luckily it wasn't and I have started my dreading! <3
