Spanish Princess, The

very good dvd

This was a fascinating time in English history as I can now watch White Queen, White Princess, Spanish Princess, the complete Tudors, then the Queen Elizabeth movies with Cate Blanchett back to back. It may not be 100% accurate, but War of the Rose's to England's greatest Queen is a fascinating period of history!

Not sure what is up with all the negative Nancy's out there. The poor reviews are pretty pathetic. After each episode it plainly stated that facts had been altered for entertainment purposes(in other words). I found this season to be the better of the three and truly enjoyed it for what it was, entertainment.

They could've done so much better with The Spanish Princess Parts 1 & 2. They made her look really like bad person. The actress they chose to play her lacked passion for the role, in my opinion. The White Queen and The White Princess were both excellent Series, and they were cast well. This one was a big disappointment. I hope if they attempt to do a series on Mary that it's decent.

This story is very well done in portraying the Royal Tutor family (King Henry VII then King Henry VIII in this period piece ! Season Two will continue the story in 2020 - will watch this as well + will buy the DVD when it becomes available for my collection :)

Great window into history. Very enjoyable. Some violence that is difficult to watch. We really enjoy all of the English history stories. Being Scottish, we see how our family lived during those times.

This has been a disappointment with the vendor and with Amazon. I purchased the DVD and elected to delay watching until recently (For several reasons) and when I tried to view it, I found that the DVD was not for use on US DVD players. I notified both the vendor and Amazon but the answer I got back from the vendor was that too much time had gone by to trace through the mail systems (which is not the issue). With both the vendor and Amazon all you get is a check-box communication---not all issues can addressed by simply filling in square! The DVD had no indication on the box or in the posting on Amazon that it was for foreign use only. I also couldn't find anywhere on either site when you can speak to someone. i gave it one star only because you have to fill in at least one to be considered (an example of the problem).

Diese Serie von Philippa Gregory ist sehr gut gemacht, genau so wie The White Queen und The White Princess.Bitte mehr davon auf dvd!!! Well worth the money.

The spanish princess dvd was great,but the books are far better.

the writing, story, costumes, acting is just totally amazing. i really enjoyed watching Spanish Princess so it is worth every penny i paid for it. it kept me glued to the tv for hours and hours. the story is unpredictable and so you dont really know what is going to happen to each character, and sometimes you see new characters too. Spanish Princess is way better than White Queen and White Princess, though i liked White Queen better than White Princess, this is one of the best historical dramas miniseries that i have ever seen.

Katherine's story is usually only told from the point Henry VIII decided to set her aside. This was an enjoyable prequel to that story.
