SIZE MATTERS
I have a drip system installed using Rain Bird Landscape Dripline and distribution tubing It is rated .63 OD and compression fittings are designed to be either .63 OD or .70 OD. even though most systems sold in Home Depot, Lowes, etc are all described as 1/2" . Be careful selecting the right size fitting when you need "1/2" fittings. Check the OD dimensions! They are not all the same even though they say they will work. If you select a fitting that is too large you will have leaks and defeat the purpose of a water saving drip system. This purchase was the perfect solution.

Why it leaks-wish I knew sooner
Tip of the day(s): To stop leaking between nut and compression fitting. After fighting with it for 3 days and buying a total of 5 Raindrip compression fittings only to have 100% of them leak, I figured out the secret. #1, don't use Teflon tape and most importantly, crank that thing down until you think it is about to break. I thought the "swivel" meant it should still be able to rotate freely between nut and compression sleeve. Quite the contrary. It needs to be absolutely tight between them after installed. You should crank it down tight before installing the 1/2" tubing. Can be done before, but more cumbersome. Hope this saves someone money on Tylenol.

Did the job….
Works well ,it’s a little hard to get it on the tubing ,get your drip tubing heated up and it will make the fob go smooth

Awful.
I ordered 3 of these for some drip line tubing. I thought the tubing was ½” but after looking at the listing again it’s 15mm, which is closer to ⅝”. The tubing went in with ease and I thought it was secure but it would just blow out after about 10 minutes. You would think slightly bigger tubing would be more secure but I guess not. I decided to buy some that you push the tubing onto a bath then screw the outer piece down to secure it. Those work much better and were about the same price. These are going back.

Worked perfectly
It easily fit onto the 500 ft or irrigation line I bought. I screwed it directly onto my outdoor tap and used it to fill my swimming pool. I haven't figured out how to get it off yet though, but not a big deal for me

Doesn't fit a 1/2" distribution tube
I like that it has a mesh filter when other adapters don't have this feature. Unfortunately it doesn't fit into my Orbit 1/2" distribution tube that I picked up from Home Depot. I tried softening the tube with hot water before connecting it to the adapter but the adapter is just too small for the tube to go in.
