I purchased the dark brown one. Got it to set on my counter to put eggshells in since we recycle them to put on our garden. I like the plastic lid because it keeps gnats from developing. This is a sturdy Container That looks decent to leave out on your counter and it was stands top rack dishwasher.

Wish I had bought more, because it's so nice and sturdy and crystal clear.

I originally ordered this product so I could have a clear unbreakable vessel with plenty of room for my sourdough starter to rise, and a second one to store my discard in the refrigerator for later use in discard recipes. What makes these vessels so useful for the sourdough starter is that there is no shoulder on the container so I am able to totally scrape down the inside leaving no residue under the neck of the container. I was unable to find one with marked graduations so I was able to paint the measures myself with paint pens. So far that has worked well but I don't know how it will stand up to washing, suppose I will be hand washing them to save the paint even though they are supposed to be dishwasher safe. The lids for these vessels are much thicker than I would have imagined and they too are dishwasher safe. I think they're going to last for a good long time. To be honest I did not need such large containers, these are two and a half quarts each. I would have rather had a 1.25 -1.5 quart. They do make these but they are just as wide as the two and a half quart size, and half as tall. I would rather have them smaller in diameter. I am very pleased with the quality of the product and I see no reason they shouldn't last for years to come even after I give up making sourdough bread and use them for something else. They would actually make great canisters for storing flour, sugar, coffee etc.

Easy to clean, easy to clean and mark to observe doubling and trippleing of your sourdough starter. Great tight fitting snap on lid.

Using for my kitchen compost. Very sturdy and capacious (1 gallon size). Lid is hard to get on and off but expect it is just stiffer in the beginning.

I had been using Tupperware and they were so perfect until they wore out. I needed the right size replacement. Saw these and the measurements seemed perfect. I LOVE them! They fit my filters great! Store a nice amount of coffee and the lids seal nicely. They stack and fit in my coffee cupboard great and I just love the labels I put on them. Def recommend!

I bought these marker holders and they were flimsy, which was frustrating! Saw another review where the customer recommended buying these to sit down inside the marker storage. Works perfectly! Gives them form and sturdiness. Great idea!!!

I have scoured Amazon for the absolutely perfect storage solution to my many COPIC marker pens. And I found it! I received this black holder from Amazon first but it had no support. So I bought one of these 1.5 quart storage containers and WOW, it fits like a glove. Seriously, this has taken me months to figure out and I am so happy. Plus the containers are really well made, thick and hefty, but not heavy like glass. They come with a lid which I won't be using.
