My favorite brush.

Product received on time and in excellent condition. I wish an earlier delivery date was an option. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied.

This is an absolutely beautiful brush with a great point, great belly. They're more pricey than many brushes, but Raphael makes good brushes. Better to get one great brush than 10 decent ones. It feels really nice to paint with and doesn't feel cheap either. I immediately bought a size 6. I wish these weren't so difficult to find. I'd love a size 8, but can't find one.

I'm in love with Raphael brushes, even the synthetic Kaerells fit my hand as if they were made just for me. The 8404 is no exception. So far it is keeping a point even when dry which is not usually the case with natural hair brushes. The seller packaged it well -- it survived the trip despite Amazon's flimsy delivery envelope. Time will tell but I look forward to many years of use.

I found my first Raphael kolinsky sable brush on a sale table 20+ years ago. It changed my whole approach to painting. It felt like magic. These brushes are very responsive and give much more control than ordinary brushes - even other sables. If you take good care of them they will last a long time.

I've inked a couple of pages with these and they are excellent quality brushes that keep a fine point. I'll continue to buy this series as long as they make them.

The Kolinsky pointed round brushes have great paint capacity, excellent spring and keep a nice point. I have used them for years both in my capacity as an artist and also as a college art instructor. My original brushes lasted for several years and now that the point is worn off I use them as a small flat.
