Alpine iLX-W650 Receiver Compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto - Includes KTA-450 4-Channel Power Pack Amp

This is such an awesome bang for the buck. I needed something that could drive some new 6.5” Polk DB components speakers (rated at 100W RMS). I’ve had good luck with Alpine power packs in the past, so the fact that this one mounts to the back of the receiver sold me on this combo, as I needed an external amp to power these speakers anyways.Install was simple, just time consuming as there are a lot of wires that need connected between the radio, the amp, and the factory harness adapter. The sound quality after a few hours of speaker break-in is unbelievable. To the point where I’m actually considering not installing my 10” sub. I listen to classic rock and alternative rock, and I gotta day the Alpine amp is pushing plenty of crystal-clear, full-spectrum, clean power and sound to my speakers.The radio is awesome too. Nice smooth screen and responsive buttons. It’s actually boosted my radio signal significantly, and I now pick up stations that I normally don’t get unless I drive out of town. BT and Apple CarPlay are easy to use. Like others have said, get the parking break bypass so you don’t have to pull over to mess with settings.

Replaced the junk factory stereo in my Frontier with this Alpine stereo and amp. Sound is much better and this has many more options. Wasn't the easiest to install, but I did manage to keep my steering wheel controls (must purchase other hardware to do this). Overall, I do like this system

This is a very good head unit and amp combo. I didn’t want components stash everywhere in my my car so fits the bill perfectly. The user interface and apple CarPlay responds better than my OEM head unit in my other Toyota. The picture was a little miss leading. I though it would come with panel pry tools.

Great quality double din with fast response. There was an issue with my first amp and head unit and creative audio did not hesitate to make it right and sent me replacements right away (2 day shipping). Their customer service was fantastic and I am very happy with my purchase. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them for future audio purchases. Thanks again!

Very nice head unit especially with the amp. To be honest it’s more than I was wanting to buy but my options were limited with COVID supply.I’m using most of the features it offers and seems to function well.

I have always wanted to see if Alpine products lived up to the hype. The system I installed included a head unit, amp, and speakers from Alpine. Overall, it sounds good, but not anything I'd call outstanding. The head unit really needs a rethink. What the screen displays is nothing short of disappointing. Just a boring static display that cannot be customized- so options you don't use, or want to see constantly displayed, are in your face forever. And the info displayed while Pandora plays is limited. There is much more shown on my phone screen, including things I need to access, so I am constantly having to pull out my phone to get to the Pandora screen. Why couldn't it just be duplicated on the Alpine screen?

I wish I could go back and change my mind on this item. the system looks sound but the entire thing is glitchy absolutely HATE this head unit. Bluetooth works well but you can't leave the phone hooked up Via USB to make calls. the other person can't hear you a minute or two into the call. gets very staticky hooked up USB. but the apple car play and android auto is not wireless so you are dependant on the USB hook up. every time I make or receive a call I have to unhook and let Bluetooth run. sometimes the USB just decides it doesn't want to even read anything just out of nowhere. I just tried to do a firmware update, and the head unit will not read any files on the thumb drive at all. even after following the instructions to the T! all I want to do now is sell this hunk of trash and buy a Kenwood as I should have in the first place! DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

Bought this for my husbands car, you can't go wrong with this brand. It doesn't have all the pretty lights but it has all of the features that needed for this day and age. Make sure you also buy the MicroBypass Parking Brake Override Bypass for Alpine.
