Buy directly from author, new, for $46!
This is probably an awesome book. I'm going to borrow a copy from a friend. If it is as helpful as I believe it will be I will purchase it from the author's website. His price is $46. Do not buy used for $100's!

Must have for knitters
I bought this, despite the steep price, as soon as I heard about it on the Fruity Knitter podcast and it is worth every penny (and I do not say that lightly, it is expensive, even with free shipping on Amazon Prime). I agree with everything Clara Parkes said about the book in her newsletter review of it. In addition, I appreciated the range of ideas. For example, when Demers discusses tables and chairs and such, he tells you what to look for if you are acquiring a new chair but also how to make your existing chair work with materials such as a rolled up towel and a loose leaf binder. The book has made me eager to take one of his workshops as I think the two things would complement each other beautifully and I hope to have many years of healthy knitting ahead of me. Buy the book. Even if, like me, you almost always check it out of the library first and your library does not have it – mine does not – go ahead and buy this one. It took it to my stitching club and people were placing their orders on their smart phones right then and there; it is that good.

It may look a little pricey but it will save you so much money of physical therapy.
I had done some serious "binge-knitting" before the holidays and had some severe pain in my shoulder. The doctor diagnosed tendonitis and prescribed physical therapy. Did 10 weeks of therapy before the pain was completely gone and I was given the go-ahead to knit again.I purchased this book about halfway through by PT and showed it to my Physical Therapist. He was very impressed and pointed out the picture in the book that reflected the place I was having pain. Now I knit without pain and follow Demers' instructions religiously. Don't be discouraged - it's like learning to knit all over again; well, it literally *is* learning to knit all over again. Be patient and persistent and you, too, will knit without pain.

Terrific book that is useful for more than just knitters
Terrific book that is useful for more than just knitters. This book would be helpful for anyone who wants to sit or use their hands in a more ergonomic manner. Its full of detailed photos and descriptions. The author, a physical therapist who also knits and spins, has put great thought and effort into covering this subject in a very thorough manner. It also includes a chapter on office ergonomics. The cost is high but, the book is well done and work the price.

saved my knittig life
After hand surgery with a major complication, I thought I would never be able to knit again. But this book changed everything for me. I am knitting again without pain. The author goes into detail about anatomy and how our bodies work. It gives recommendations on how to sit, what kind of chair to use, how to math yarn with needles and exercises to prevent pain. It's expensive but worth the cost.

Excellent Review of How to Knit Ergonomically!
Very helpful for learning how not to put extra pressure on your hands and fingers when knitting. Well worth the price!
