Easy installation and works great
I was slightly dubious about buying this item, due to the lack of reviews for it. However I took the plunge and bought it, and was not disappointed. So therefore I have decided to review it in the hope of helping others out.Firstly, delivery was very fast and the system came well packaged in two boxes, one containing the tap and the other the boiler and the filter.Installation was relatively easy, the only problems encountered were due to the location of our existing plumbing. Other than that, the kit contains a push-on step down connector to convert from standard 15mm plumbing to 10mm plastic pipe that is used by the hot water system. everything was pushed together and the water turned back on. Initially we had a leak from the two copper pipes that go from the tap to a Y connector, but this was easily rectified with a bit of additional pushing together. One thing to consider is that you will need to drill a 35-38mm hole in your worktop to install the tap. AS we have a wooden worktop, this was easy, but may be worth considering.Overall, installation was complete in a couple of hours and the tap has now been up and running for a week. The instant hot water is excellent. we use it regularly for making cups of tea and coffee and it is so convenient. The we have the water set to the maximum temperature (around 98°C I think) and it comes out steaming hot. It is also possible to reduce the temperature if you prefer. The cold tap gives us instant filtered water. In the past we have had to put water into a filter jug to make it drinkable (otherwise it has a metallic taste) but using this system, we now have filtered water straight from the tap and it tastes great. The life of the filters are listed as 6 months each, but naturally I cannot confirm this yet.The system is extremely quiet during operation and there is a decent flow from both the hot and cold taps.I am no expert in plumbing, or in hot water taps, but I would not hesitate to recommend this one.

Easy to install but misses on high temperature
So easy and quick to install even the wall fittings the same as the previous model. It's sad that it cannot heat the water just a little more. To make coffee and tea you need to heat the cup with the water before making coffee. It works but not quite as convenient

Extremely competitive pricing- well worth the money.
This is our second boiling water tap - use it for sooo much more than just making a brew. It’s great but now I am moving house and as my new place doesn’t have one, I have ordered one to take with me. Hence I haven’t installed it yet. My hubby installed our first one though and he didn’t seem to have any trouble.

The tap sputters.
The media could not be loaded. The tap sputters. The old HC1100 did not sputter however. We tried different supply pressure and chaging O-rings etc but all failed in vain. As we do not live in UK, there is no way to repair it. Is it purely our bad luck that the one way is to buy another tap and install it? Very frusrtated!
