Mrs Balls Hot ChutneyI first discovered Mrs. Ball's on a trip to England years ago. I fell in love with it. Alas, I had only brought one bottle home with me. This was pre-Internet, so there was no more to be had. Now I can get it again!It really is a delicious chutney, hot and smooth by comparison with others such as mild and chunky Major Grey's (a very good chutney of a different type). It's flavor is just right, not too heavy handed with the strong spices, like cloves, which can leave a tinny aftertaste, but enough heat to make you sit up and take notice.If you're new to chutney and like things a bit spicy, give this a try. It's not only good with curries, but it's excellent as a spread with cream cheese and, thinned with a little juice, makes a delicious baste for a pork roast. Great product.

I first came across Mrs. Balls Chutney while in Namibia, Botswana and South Africa on a three week safari.Perhaps it is the nostalgia, but having packed a few to take home I am now spoiled for it and can't live without.Fantastic on meats, (especially cold in sandwiches) and as ingredients in custom BBQ sauces etc, .. I love it's flavor and the little bite the hot variety adds.It's now the gold standard fro me and nothing else will do, so I have to order it here!

This is a really great chutney. My wife (from South Africa) introduced me to this brand and to chutney in general. This is a great way to change the flavor profile of a burger, a steak, pork or chicken. I do not have a lot of experience with other chutney's, but this is the one i'll keep coming back to.

My neighbor recommended this Chutney to me as I had asked her for a spicier version of the original. The chutney was of good quality but lacked any measurable spiciness.

Bets bottle of Mrs Balls I ever had! .. but not by much

Package arrived smashed and useless. When tried to seek replacement, turns out the policy is ‘take your chances’… learned my lesson.

Love the product but again, received damaged.
