Looks great, worked for about six months problem free.
After 6 months it no longer makes sound when door opens, alerts no longer come to my phone. It won’t stay online, when I put it back on line it still doesn’t work. It’s in the same room as my geeni camera which never goes off line. When the sensor works it’s great, unfortunately it doesn’t work very long.

Do NOT Purchase - AWFUL!!!
It is rare to get a product that is SOOOOO bad.1. Even when the app for the sensors is set to provide an alert when the door is opened, they most often do not trigger.2. The sensors/app do consistently alert when the door is closed, but if someone breaks in and leaves the door open, you would never know they entered the house.3. When the door is closed an alert does desirably trigger, but it is an AWFUL long obnoxious klaxon sound on your phone. Tech support finally replied that they will have their designers consider a change, but no indication when...4. I have have used them for just 2 weeks, but already the battery on one is almost dead and the second (on a never-used door) is halfway gone. Cost to replace these batteries so quickly/repeatedly make them not-viable.5. Tech support is AWFUL!!!!!!! They do not answer the phone. I submitted several tickets to finally get a call back and then spent an hour in a totally unproductive dialog.Update... - I asked that the vendor provide new batteries, which should have been included in the original order, and they replied asking me if the existing batteries are dented. Really? No, they are just not new.- They still haven't resolved any of the other problems.- I have had enough with this AWFUL vendor and AWFUL product, and luckily I am still in the return window allowed by Amazon, so I am returning this junk.

Be extremely careful on the angle of the sensor when setting up.
Works with Alexa and is a much cheaper route for home security! I can tell that these actually work really well because my husband left for PT at five in the morning & the Geeni app set off a loud alarm on my phone to alert me the door was open (((,:UPDATE: I have been using the door sensors for about a month and I’m not sure if I’m becoming paranoid because of the recent events in our neighborhood but I may upgrade to a different brand soon. I have a camera in our home that captured someone in the house, but never alerted me of a door being opened (our windows are always locked). It seems that these door sensors are extremely sensitive & I’m sad I can’t use them anymore. I can see a door across the room that remains shut & I will randomly get a notification that it has opened (not the best feeling when you’re home alone & your husband is deployed).

good product, bad batteries & awful support
I got the products, got them onto my WiFi and installed them without a problem. But in less than a day, the battery on one door failed, and a week later the 2nd battery has failed.I emailed Geeni tech support directly (not through Amazon) when the first battery failed, got an email acknowledgement that they got my support request, but no answer or acknowledgement from support now (a week later). So I added that the 2nd battery failed to my support ticket, and let them know I'm writing a review now.I'm sure the product had been sitting in a warehouse for a long time, but when you get a product with batteries included you expect them to work for a while. So this product costs more because I already need to run out and get batteries. Glad they didn't fail while I was on vacation or something.

Works, but smart home integration features are poor
This sensor is small, minimalistic, and unintrusive. It generally works as advertised, except for a big caveat I will mention below. It arrived properly packaged, and the setup process was not too difficult. Luckily, I already had my account and wireless network correctly configured from using Geeni smart bulbs. Attaching and aligning it correctly on the door and frame using the 3M tape took only a little effort, and I was done with the entire installation and configuration process in less than 5 minutes. Whenever the door opens/closes, I get a notification on my phone within ~5 seconds, even when I am on mobile data. The big disappointment is the "smart" features. This sensor can be added to Google Home, but all that is available is an info page. There are no controls to arm/disarm it, or to actually DO anything at all. So you cannot control this using voice commands (which is a big part of the convenience of smart home systems). This is a major drawback. Even in the Geeni app, there is no one-click way to arm or disarm it. You have to choose from a list of "events" that you can get notified for. So you can achieve the same thing, but it is unintuitive and inconvenient. You can use the Geeni app to set up automation, but that is limited to Geeni devices. As it is, this sensor barely manages to justify the "smart" description.I would take off more stars, but I have been generally happy with other Geeni products, so I will hold out hope that a future software update will improve things. As it stands right now, buy this if you already have other Geeni products, need a cheap and reliable door sensor, and don't care about voice control. As with other Geeni products, It does not need a hub and only works with 2.4 GHz networks.

Definitely worth it
It was so easy to pair and install. They did feel kinda cheap with the material but honestly it doesn’t matter, what matters is the hardware and software, which works great, and are well encased. The only thing I didn’t like is that I got maybe a 2-3 sec delay With the notifications on the app, BUT that may just be the app on iPhone apps or all phones, I wouldn’t think it’s the sensor itself. All in all, a great buy.

Excelente producto, quede encantado.

Eats batteries
These sensors are awesome and easy to install. Seemed liked an ideal solution to my problem...BUT they eat batteries - lasting less then 24 hours before you start getting low battery alarms. These are not cheap batteries either. I initially thought the batteries that came with these were old and pruchased brand new batteries. Again, less then 24 hours I am getting the alarm for low battery. I also noticed this product is no longer sold on the actual Geeni website so I take that as they got rid of them so anyone selling them is getting rid of old stock! Good idea, crappy product - DO NOT RECOMMENDPlease note the seller was great and refunded my money without question.

Works great when the unit is not defective
I bought this two pack of door sensor. The first one was a breeze to link to the app and works great. The second one is a different story. No matter which linking method I followed the unit would not connect, suggesting that the unit is defective.I contacted tech support but those guys at Merkury, the maker of the Geeni product line, are useless. They send me email telling me to check links they never attached to the email and when I reply to their email I get nothing in return. This has nothing to do with the provider of the item as they are not the ones taking care of tech support (at least I hope so). Since the first sensor has been installed I don't really want to take it down to return the whole thing and I don't know how I could get Amazon (who is the one fulfilling the order for the reseller) to only send me a single replacement unit. It is unfortunate though that the reseller has to Get such a review because of the incompetence of Merkury's tech support.I should be use to this because Merkury has done the same with a doorbell camera I have problems with. They only answer one email and after this you never hear from them again.
