I'm not sure why it took me so long to pick some of these up, but I'm am glad I did. these make line management a dream. Simply slap one on a spool, thread your line through the eyelet and one can easily dispense leader or line with no hassle. When it's time for a new leader simply pull the tag end and feed more line through the eyelet. Easy peasy.

Holds all my line in place and organized. The cutter works well too against 15# and 20# fluorocarbon

They would be great on a large spool, but fly fishing tippet is on small, narrow spools, and it doesn’t fit on mine at all.

Finally! for all of you long suffering but loyal Maxima users, a line retainer that keeps the mono from unspooling., The cutter is an added bonus and it works great. No more cheap rubber bands and that weird plastic cover Maxima comes with, They should sell the spools with this retainer already on it. I would pay extra for the convenience.

Great product. A simple product that makes handling leader material a breeze. I recommend pairing it with a tippet holder for a great line management system.

Wanted these so the Line stays on the spool when I pull out Leader line, didn't work well.JUNK - Band is way to thin, so when you pull the line out (usually quickly so I can fish), it rolls over and off the spool. I don't recommend using these.Find ones with wider bands, I have several of those, & they work flawlessly.

Ditto the other reviews. I picked up a single band in a Dillon, MT fly shop. Now that they’re available, I’ll pick up more for my leader material. I can now strip off another 3’ of leader, and cut it with one hand
