The drone came really well packed and everything was well protected, even down the small pieces of foam around the camera, and around the controller. I ordered a spare battery and both came fully charged which again I was impressed with. Initial set up was really easy, the instructions provided were simple to understand and were explained really well. I did notice that the camera auto calibrated before I got to that part in the instructions so that was a bonus. Then came take off…..with hesitation I pressed the auto take off button on the controller and it took off, to my surprise she rose about 5 feet (as it said in the instructions) and just sat there, I then slowly tried all of the movements using the joysticks (these are sensitive, so be warned) and it flew really well, I have about a 60 x 40 foot rear garden and it flew within those parameters really well and after 5 mins I felt so confident flying this drone, really responsive and the trim feature works really well, one or two small adjustments and it was solid in the air. The live picture on the app from the camera was also really clear, I had no memory card inserted so could not record anything but was pleased with the quality of the picture. After about 15 mins I pressed the auto landing button and was really impressed with how it gently landed and the props came to a stop, great feature especially being a new flyer, it would be too easy to plant this in the ground trying to land this myself, so this was great to use. The weather was not great hence flying it in my garden to start with, but I cannot wait for the right conditions to take this out to a much larger space and she what she can really do.Overall I’d give 5 starts, for packaging, ease of use, build quality, style…and the list goes on!

Amazing capability for the price. Remote works well without the app but with the video connection it is so much better. App is very easy to use. Great for learning to use and pretty forgiving. Camera is fun but not highest quality. Works well in a stiff breeze. Battery life is not the longest but pretty typical for the type / size of drone. For the price would highly recommend.

Purchased this following seeing my friend getting a drone for xmas.To date Ive thoroughly enjoyed the experience especially as I've never owned one or even flown one before.On opening the box I was pleased to see that it was already assembled and ready to go. I would advise not to fly it indoors as from my experience it works better outdoors due to it being linked to GPS and you're more likely to damage inside it due to the limited space.On reading the instructions I did feel that they could have been a bit better. For example it doesn't state what all of the light colours mean, this however was easily worked out after using the drone a few times.My maiden flight was indoors and I must admit I crashed it more than a few times but I was really impressed with the durability of it and it caused no damage to it at all. The drone does come with a few spare blades etc.Flying it outdoors for the first time was brilliant, a nice wide open space and you really do get to see the capabilities of what it can do without the worry of it hitting anything. It has a function on it which you can limit how far the drone will fly away from you which gave me confidence that I wouldn't lose it.Other impressive functions are the return to home button. Press this and it will fly itself back to you. Auto land and take off, follow me is cool as well. I also like the fact that when the battery is running low the lights on the drone flash a different colour and it will start to fly back to you of its on accord.One thing I was really impressed with was the stability of it. Once you release the controls on the controller the drone will position itself and maintain its position.The camera seems fine for what I'm looking to achieve and is good enough considering the price of the drone. The ability to move the camera whilst it is in the air is a great feature which a lot of drones in tis price bracket do not have.Battery life seems accurate with my flying time around the stated 18mins as advertised. 18 minutes does seem like a long time but it soon flies by (excuse the pun) so my next aim is to get another battery. The charging unit does cater for two batteries.The only downside I have found is that it doesn't come with a dedicated carry case, not a big issue as they are so small anyway.Overall I'm impressed with the price and what the drone can do. I look forward to many more flying hours with it.For those thinking that it may be expensive I assure you that you will get hours of fun out of this and definitely get your monies worth out of it.

The media could not be loaded.  I've had a few drones in the past couple of years, starting out with a cheap one for my son I got totally hooked and bought more myself.The HS120D is comparable with some of the best drones I've flown, but at a much lower price. The video quality on the 1080p camera is excellent, and I've manged to film some stunning scenes whilst flying the drone, and the follow me option works well if you want it to film you kicking the ball around with the kids or going for a run.Out of the box the drone charged and paired without any difficulties, and calibration took no time at-all. The box contained everything you need to fly, but without guides I'd only recommend this to someone who has had some experience in flying other drones - as damage to the blades or drone itself when you hit a tree can be disastrous.Compared to previous drones I found the controls, whilst similar, are much more sensitive, even at lower speeds - but this just adds to the fun when trying to fly at speed, whilst also improving the quality of the movies when recording mid-flight.Overall I'd fully recommend this drone to anyone looking for a good quality video and photo experience who does not want to pay the excessive prices of other similar spec drones from a more branded manufacturer.Update: Video added from a glum day in Durham
