Parts2O 1-1/4" Brass Check Valve
This 1-1/4" brass check valve is very decently made for what it cost. It was much more affordable than some of the other name brand brass check valves I priced out. It is working perfectly with our 3" pitcher pump to hold its prime between uses. The valves internal check opens to allow full 360-degree flow and is also made of brass with a stainless steel spring. I don't see any opening pressure stated on the package, but it is reasonably low enough so that it works fine on our well riser about 36" below a hand operated pitcher pump.

Back flow functions are good. Chatters a bit
The media could not be loaded. This is a heavy object. It was insufficient packed and was outside of its box and taking around in the Amazon container when it arrived.Fit is good with some Teflon tape.The back flow prevention is good even in a horizontal installation but it chatters a bit. For me it's about 12 inches after a 90 turn so might be turbulent. Otherwise happy with it.

Much better than PVC model
I've used a couple of these for my irrigation pumps and none have worn out as the PVC models usually do. Getting an airtight seal on an irrigation well is not easy for an amateur who occasionally deals with this so having a check value that lasts longer is very important. It costs slightly more but is well worth it.

i holds water but only 70%
there is o ring inside this item to hold water, but it is not good enough, it only hold the water for a while, then it leaks awaw gradually . dont know why. my old flip-style valve is even better. finally i have to install two together to hold more water. this one plus my old fip-style one.

It's a check valve. It checks...
This is a basic item. Although advertised as "lead free" - item comes with Prop 65 sticker. When I called, agent said it's "lead free" but that they must put the sticker on...All good - fixed my Hallmark submersible that for some reason has a "weep hole" drilled in its built in check valve...
