Colour Shaper Double-End Masking Fluid Tool

Works wonderfully!
I'll make this semi-quick!1) saves paint brushes and doesn't need soap, can we get an amen?!2) super easy clean up, dip in water and wipe off3) practice on scrap first, more than what you think you need to... I did a slight bit and then jumped in. Damaged a project because I had too much on the tool.4) I've seen some confusion about this. The brush is used for paint, if desired. Not for masking fluid. Dual purpose tool... That being said, I haven't used the brush, I just bought this for the fluid tool.Buy this and thank yourself!

Shaper on one end of the tool, a brush on the other
The rubber tip on one end is fine and works well with masking fluid, but the brush on the other end seems unnecessary. (The description reads that it can be used to remove the masking when dry.) Because of the brush, the tool has to be stored flat unless you want to rest it on the rubber tip which could eventually damage it. I would rather store it upright with the rubber tip on top.

The tool picks up an good amount of fluid for line work and delivers it ...
The Colour Shaper Double-End Masking Fluid Tool was purchased along with the Grafix Original Incredible Nib and the Pro Art Ruling Pen.Comparison of Line Application with Incredible White Mask:• Incredible Nib - this instrument has a point and a chisel end. It appears to be made of a dowel with shaped ends. The tool picks up an good amount of fluid for line work and delivers it all at once. I could not make a thin line. It cleaned easily.• Colour Shaper - the application of Mask transferred a bead from its silicone nib then feathered out into a fine line with good coverage. It will take a lot of dipping with this too to get medium to long lines done. The silicone end cleans easily,• The Pro Art Ruling Pen has a time tested design for holding fluids in drafting and architecture work. It is designed to hold fluid and make lines. It did the job very well and I was able to make long lines the initial blob at the tip was smaller than the other two.

Odd little tool....
This is an odd little tool. The silicone tip applies frisket and cleans up easily. The brush end of this tool is surprisingly decent. It's synthetic but has a nice snap to it and the shape is very useful. It's not a high end watercolor brish, but I do like the way it works. I will probably buy another when this one dies. Cool little tool.

Easy to use and clean
I use the rubber tip for applying masking fluid, not the brush end, and it works just fine. Easy to "paint" on masking fluid with it and has good control. The masking fluid rolls right off the tool with no problem for cleaning. If you use the brush end, coat with liquid soap first to make cleaning the bristles easier. A very convenient and handy tool.

masking fluid applicator
It works well for applying masking fluid and better to use than a brush since the masking fluid can ruin your brushes.

Easy to use plus easy to clean
You can make thin or thicker lines depending on what you want. The soft tip wipes clean after use.

Doesn’t work
I’ve found it really doesn’t work to remove masking fluid in my experience. I end of setting it aside and using my fingers or large rubber scrubber
