Circle Hooks for Catfish Fishing Hooks Saltwater Freshwater 1/0-14/0 Octopus Hooks 50/100-Pack

Photo shows size comparison of 9/0, 12/0, and 14/0 circle hooks. This review is for the middle hook, 12/0. Was missing a lot of big catfish and also having big ones throw the hook when using 9/0 hooks (smallest hook in photo). Tried the 12/0 & 14/0 hooks and the 12/0 was the best all around size, with solid hookups from 3 lbs to the 69 pounder in the photo. The gap was large enough to reach around large catfish jaw bones and properly hook them in the corner of the mouth and still work for smaller catfish down to 3 lbs. The 14/0 were a much larger overall size and resulted in a lot of missed fish, likely under 20 lbs. The 14/0 gap wasn't more than 1/16" wider than the 12/0 hook gaps. I recommend the 12/0 hooks for 3 lb to extra large catfish. Good quality and great price.

I purchased the 10/0 for fishing catfish and these hooks stood up to the challenge. This past weekend I landed a 48lb blue catfish and the hook caught the lip, did not bend and stayed sharp. The hook has great space between the shaft of the hook and the tip to fit good size baits and also allowing the tip to protrude. Outstanding hook especially for the price.

Sometimes you luck out and the cheapy option actually works pretty well. This has been my experience. I took a chance on these and have been very impressed. I primarily target catfish and have had 100% hook ups on these. I’ve caught about a dozen fish on them so far. I’ll continue to monitor them going forward but they have been a great, inexpensive option so far.

I love these hooks 12/0 plenty of space to hook your bait on bait can still move freely I love to fish bream heads on these hooks we use wreath wire through the eyes to keep the fish head on so not easy to get bait off the hooks don't bend or straight out like others I have used and stay very sharp

These hooks stay sharp and do not bend under pressure. Lots of fish caught from 5 to 30lbs. Will buy again

I ordered 10/0, 6/0, and 3/0. Haven’t received the 6 and 3 aught. These type of hooks are meant for snells. Will likely cut your line while fighting a big enough fish if you snell it. Pretty much half of the box is useless due to this issue. I’ll stick to name brand hooks that are fully closed for the same price for 25 hooks which is about the amount that MIGHT be usable out of these 50. The shank on these is also bent on every single one. I will likely return them.Update: Returned the 10/0. Not risking it with those. The 3/0 and 6/0 seem to be better quality so I am keeping those. There are some defective ones in the box(see pics) but for the price I’ll keep these and try them out.
