Looks good
So these replaced a set on a 2000 boat (same brand) the plastic on the old ones was so yellow almost no light made it through. I wanted to have cockpit lights again so I purchased these. Along with a clear back (the old ones were solid) and a LED lamp, these both shine more light than the originals, and also helps light up the cabin area as well. These have a nice heavy rubber gasket, the old ones more of a foam type gasket. The SS isn't as thick as the old ones, but as long as it seals I'm happy, and it looks sooo much nicer. Also read well, these are CG approved transom lights, but only if you use the bulb that is inside. A lot of these replacement LED bulbs that are made elsewhere, do not carry that endorsement. Again I used them to light up the cockpit not an actual stern light, so no worries, but don't want anybody getting in trouble for this.

Perfect
This is the OEM replacement for the courtesy deck lighting in my fishing boat. The original lights lasted over ten years in a saltwater environment where I gave them little attention or maintenance. This time, I took the lights apart, lightly greased the springs and connectors. I also replaced the incandescent bulb with red led’s. These are the led’s I used from Amazon:#90 Miniature Bulb LED Replacement | 12/14vdc | Replaces Filament Bulbs: #90, 68, 96, 1178 (Red; 1-Pack)

Great replacement light
The light was a great replacement for several of my older same style lights. Let's face it, we are in the age of LEDs and if the light were packaged with one I would have rated it a five.

Very Flismsy and Cheap
I bought 6 of these for my boat and swapped out the bulbs for LEDs. After a year, all but 1 either flickers or don't come on. They changed the internal housing to plastic and most of them broke when you tighten them down to ensure a good seal. My older ones were made of metal and much better built. Would not recommend! Looking to get some Black Oak LEDs instead.

Works well, back illumination is a plus.
Used as a cabin light, it works great. An added bonus is the transparent back illuminates the storage area the light is mounted through the wall of.

Flush mount means that if it's replacement (even for a different style), then no holes should need to be drilled. Well, the bulb encasement on this is deeper than the case and odd shaped too. To replace the original Perko with this thing, I would have to cut out a rectangular hole to accommodate it. Plus, it's cheep feeling and looking. I returned it to buy a new Perko.
