I considered giving this doorbell chime 2 stars, but then I remembered that it is a doorbell chime. It was fairly easy to install. I feel like the chime is VERY basic. I wanted a doorbell chime that was just a normal chime, not anything outlandish, but this one sounds like it is struggling. If the doorbell is held down for even a moment longer than necessary, it makes this awful buzzing sound in addition to the chime. It is sufficient, one of the cheaper chimes on the market, and it fit the spot of our old chime. It works, but I wish I could have found a chime that was $5 more and a little better quality.

Why is it that products from companies with American names are regularly manufactured in China and, though appearing to be good value, are merely imitations of what once was? I agree with the reviewers that the amplitude of the sound coming from this chime is much weaker than the original it was replacing. The chime is only 8-10 feet away from my office and hardly audible enough to be heard around the rest of the house! I was so disappointed, I fixed the problems with the old chime and stashed this one in a closet. Sometimes you win and sometimes you get a foreign knockoff!

The three pack option for this was excellent. The whole reason that I purchased it was for the 10 foot cable that was included. Unfortunately the 10 foot cable does not charge my iPhone any longer and I just purchased it back in July 2016. there is not any damage at all to any of the cables, physically.The other two cables work just fine. I would like to know if there's anyway to get a replacement 10 foot cable? I am willing to mail the old one back. Please let me know.

I bought this because the one in the house I just bought didn't work and I liked its simple design and relatively low price. It only "dings" once and is not very melodic or loud, but it does the job. If it sounded better, I would give it five stars.

When we moved into our 1968 home, we were graced with lots of items original to the home: original linoleum, original doors, original bathroom fixtures, and an original doorbell. It was hideous, but it sounded ok! I wanted something that had a ding-dong sound but was not remarkable on the wall. This one does the job! It was easy to hook up using the prior doorbell's wiring and it's completely boring on the wall.I know other reviews stated a problem with the ding vs. ding-dong but I encountered no such issue.

I bought this to replace a 20 year old door chime that does not sound loudly any more. This one did not work. It states clearly that it needs a 16A transformer, and can't be wired direct to house power. I assumed that transformer was already installed within the wall, but it seems I was wrong. With that transformer, I assume this would work properly. Consider this fair warning that your install may require another part, one that might be hard to fit into your space.

I own rental properties and periodically renovate them all the way down to the doorbell. Thinking that these kinds of doorbells were all the same, I bought one at Home Depot only to discover is only makes one "ding" instead of the "ding dong" sound I wanted. I ordered this unit on Amazon because it specifically mentioned it had both tones. And it does. It was easy to install and works perfectly. Highly recommended if you want a simple, wired door chime.

I purchased this door bell to replace one that burnt out. It is very basic and simple. Nothing fancy. I wish I spent a little extra money and purchased a wireless doorbell because there must be something wrong with my wires - it burnt out again.

Its basic but it works (this was just a cheap replacement) exactly what I was looking for. Price was right. They only shipped it in a bubble/padded envelope so it could've easily become damaged in shipping, surprised it wasn't in any box.

Works as should but the sound is not great

No complaints at all. Price point perfect and an easy replacement.
