Great little gizmo!
I have a nervous 5yr old rescue dog that apparently had few experiences riding in the car. I patiently waited 6 months for him to stop crying when I crated him in the back. Then I added the pheromone spray to no avail- he is already on meds for anxiety. So then I gave him the “run of the car.” He hid under the drivers seat, and ran around the car each time I stopped at a traffic light. I could barely catch him on time when I opened the door or window. The behavioral trainer suggested this zip line. Easy install, price under $20. BUT… after three whiney rides, he settled down. He can put his paws on the center console and scoot between the windows. He feels like he is next to me while being safely restrained. He doesn’t jump out, doesn’t put us both in danger by trying to sit on my lap….Best buy I’ve made in taming my anxious pup!!

Safe, sturdy, easy to adjust, and the dog doesn't mind it
First: Be smart & safe and use this with a harness. Some reviewer gave a one-star rating because s/he didn't read the instructions that clearly say do not under any circumstances hook the PupZIP to your dog's collar; use a harness for safety.I've been feeling a little guilty for awhile about driving without strapping our dog Emma in like we do the rest of the family. If we were to have an accident, she's as much of a 60-pound loose missile as any unsecured child would be and equally at risk. But the doggie seat belt contraptions I've tried in the past were awful. When I began preparing for a 2000-mile road trip with Emma, one of my quests was to find a solution to this dilemma. Enter the Solvit PupZIP.I LOVE it. It's very well constructed with high-quality materials, easy to install and adjust, and has plenty of length to appropriately adjust how much of your vehicle you want your dog to have access to. It can take some patience and a little time to tweak that length so it's just right. This trip was just Emma and me, so she was riding shotgun. I was able to get it adjusted so she could be in the front seat, comfortably sitting up or lying down, but out of range of bumping on the dash if I stopped quickly. She could also go to the back and lie on her bed. Emma always seemed comfortable with it. I was MUCH more comfortable with the peace of mind this safety feature offered. When I got home, I immediately ordered a second Solvit PupZIP for my husband's car. Now anytime Emma rides with us, she is securely strapped in.

Works great
This zip line is perfect for our non stop dog. She loves being able to run back and forth. It was easy to install and take down. It has a lot of extra for wider vehicles. My only downfall of it is I wish there were stoppers for the end. She knows how to put the window down herself and if it’s long enough for her to lay down that means it is long enough for her to hang out the window half way. We have to make sure the window locks half way to keep her safe and comfortable. Otherwise great product.

Added security
Works well in Bronco Sport. Gives security and freedom for our dog in the backseat as he loves to look out of both windows.

Durable, easy to use, doggo approved.
Great product and very, very useful. I clipped my doggo's harness to it, and just leave it there 24/7 so its ready to go when Tali goes with us in my 4Runner. Its sturdy and well made. The width strapping is more than plenty, which is better than too short I guess, but I can't imagine any vehicle needing as much strap as provided. We bundled it up and left it hanging near one door. My hand bars in the second seat are forward enough, and the slider strap that clips to the dog doesn't shorten quite enough, so Tali can come up between the front seats a little ways. Its not entirely an issue, but I do wish I could shorten the clip strap a little more. Its not a design flaw - more of the way my 4Runner is built. I do recommend this - our pooch seems to be completely fine with too.

Pet zip line is great
I bought this zip line over a year ago and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. My dog is safely secured while hooked in and has full range of the back seat. She gets so excited going back and forth from window to window. Thankfully she’s never tried to jump out. And when she exhausts herself she can still lay down comfortably and safely. I had to slam on the breaks a few times while she was on the zip line. She never slid off the seat.I would suggest to use a harness collar with this or any dog restraints. For your pets safety.I recommend this product & seller.

Perfect for travel.
This worked perfect for me traveling with my dog across states. (About 11 hours), she was able to roam back and forth on the back seat, and it had enough length for her to lay down.

Maneuverability
Dog loves to be able to move across the seat but she is still able to jump into the front seat and back area of the car if she wants to
