Replaced the wind-up three minute one that came with our mobile with this guy, regular on-off toggle (sorta wish it had some kind of timer..) and it fits the mobile perfectly. Lots of different little diddys on here too - was a little thrown when I heard 'here comes the bride', and my wife (who is a Christmas season crazy person) got all jazzed and cheesed when she heard the handful of Christmas melodies on there. Overall it's great. Little bit loud and no timer are my only 2 issues.. and they're not really issues, I'd buy again.

It's 2012, why do mobiles still have wind up motors? You crank it up, the little one is happy and kicking one minute, you try to tidy up the nursery, put away clothes, etc, two minutes later it dies, little one gets fussy, you must wind it up again.This mobile part is a must have, I wish I had purchased it sooner as the mobile is one thing that the little guy has loved from day one. It replaces the wind up motor in a standard mobile (the one that matches all of your nursery decor) with a battery powered unit. It just takes 2 AA's and has a green and red button. Press green and it cycles through 12 songs over and over again until you hit the red button. Little guy is so happy now that those monkeys on his mobile dance for him non-stop!Swapping it out was easy. Since the old mobile had a hook on top and a hook on bottom and the new one only had one hook, I just used one of those plastic connector things to hook it securely to the mobile arm, and then put the monkeys on the hook. Works great!Shipping was way faster than expected. I think it came from China and it took less than 2 weeks, arriving way before the estimated arrival date. It came via USPS and required a signature on arrival.********UPDATE**********Little one is 9 months now and the mobile is still up and running with zero battery changes! He can stand and touch the mobile but can't pull it down yet and really enjoys it dancing over his head. The music is fast paced and I use it more for entertainment purposes than to put him to sleep, he still nurses to sleep. The songs do seem like clips however I like that it isn't the same song over and over again.I just ordered another one for a baby shower, and I'm a little nervous because I see a couple reviews where the product didn't spin or play music. My mobile motor makes the mobile spin while playing music, it sounds like these reviewers may have received defective products. I will make sure to test the new mobile motor before I wrap it up for the shower. We are still very pleased with our purchase!

This was a perfect replacement for a wind up mobile. This alleviates the winding! Havent had it long enough to give a battery life update. It is loud. Tape on the speaker I would say almost muffled it too much. But I left one hole uncovered and it seems good enough. I do enjoy the multiple songs. The same song over and over got a bit annoying. Almost as annoying as the radio in the car.

Works good. My daughter likes it. Its alot easier to hit a button that it is to keep having to keep winding up the regular style. Plays music for as long as you want it to. The only issue I have with this is its weird that it plays xmas songs,happy birthday and here comes the bride. Weird choices for a baby mobile. All of those songs are mixed in with the songs listed. Other than that. It works good. The sound quality is good.

First, it took about 2 weeks to get this with prime. It kept saying “Business closed”, even though we live in a single family house on a suburban street. So, they ended up crediting, but I still thought I would mention 1) this plays holiday music! 2) it is crazy loud (I put tape over it and can still hear it loudly a room away) 3) you have to turn it off- it doesn’t just go off after a few minutes like many baby mobiles. So, if you want to blare Christmas music endlessly, this is for you.

Cheap and good! For the price I am very haopy. It us exactly what I needed to make my mobile functional again. I read in some reviews that it does not rotate but IT DOES, or at least the one I received does. The music is beautiful, something hard to find in a baby's toy. It is true that you can only turn it on and off.but you cannot control the volume, so maybe not for everyone's needs but I am very happy with it. It uses 2 AA batteries not included. Not sure how long it takes to shut down by itself and every time you turn it off and on again it starts with a new song. I would buy it again if I needed to and I woud n recommend it. I looked for almost a week online for a product like this and this one is by far the cheapest I could find, so I am.glad it works

I agree with both the above reviews. This was the only battery operated mobile I found. I can't believe they don't make these standard. My baby also likes her mobile and the wind up only lasted a minute or so. As described by another review, it only has one hook but thats not really an issue. I used a zip tie to put mine on. It will run as long as you leave it going so no worries with time.Two complaints: it is loud as the above review mentions, I taped something over it to buffer the sound a bit. not a big issue as it can be fixed. second complaint is that it doesn't play each of the songs, it plays a 30 second clip of the song and then cycles through all 12 songs. i wish it played the entire song and/or that you could set it to one song.overall its a great product and i wish i would have bought it much sooner.also mine arrived much earlier than the expected ship date too. i think maybe 10 days. it was a registered item though so it does have to be signed for at time of delivery.

We had a mobile that needed to be cranked about every 2 minutes and my baby would cry when the music stopped. I bought this, switched it out in about 10 seconds and now don't need to wind. My baby loves it and will stare at his mobile for close to an hour. At first I thought that the songs went from one to the next rather quickly, but it works. I can now sing them in order after listening to it so many times! Highly recommend and the price couldn't be better!
