Greatest Little Wonder for ESL Experience
This is one of the greatest books to have at your fingertips with a new ESL class not exactly sure of their speaking abilities in a second language. This book has a wonderful way of helping the students break the ice so to speak and come out in a comfortable atmosphere that relaxes everyone around the circle into wanting to share in the talking experience with others as learning to relate sentences and subjects together come into focus. It's GREAT!!

Excellent book for teaching vocabulary and conversation!
I used book 1 and 2 while teaching in China. The cartoon scenes demonstrating the vocabulary and situational usage were charming as well as excellent visual representation of the focus. There are conversation starters in the back along will wonderful grammar charts, maps, and other things to help the teacher and the student.I have worked in language schools, public schools, and universities all over the world--these books are good at least as supplements or for tutoring even if not being used in specific courses.

Easy to use, and the students are able to take information and put to use.
The content is relative to living in the US and information the students need/want to know.

Comes in handy
I'm teaching a small class, typically three to six students. Since the class is offered free through the public library, there is no textbook or formal structure. While this book has its limitations (the activities are designed with a large class in mind, and each section is basically a vocabulary list with suggested activities) I'm not always able to create a lesson plan, and introducing the vocabulary does get the students talking. This book is very helpful in providing a ready-made lesson plan when I don't have a good set of ideas. However, to reinforce the vocabulary I need to design other activities. I use it in combination with Expressways, which has good reading selections and more written exercises.

Lots of use
Already had used Book 1. Chose to find subjects and phrases for creating dialogues, found lot of material. Would buy a Book 3 if one was made Would recommend to either a teacher or 1-on-1 tutor

I love it
I hve been working with boo1 for many years with my basic level students and now that I satarted with this level 2, I have to say that is a very useful book to teach English focused on conversation, although I would like to get the audio cds of this book but it has been impossible to find them.

Many interactive exercises for 2nd language learnders of English
The book is rather dated. Much has changed since 1998. I have not used it with my adult students yet. (Maybe it is not a problem that computer literacy is not strong among the clientele.)The price I paid was twice the price I have seen from other suppliers!!I was unaware that there is a teacher's edition which I would have purchased had I known!(Maybe AMAZON is not as great as they like to appear!)
