The go to product for mitigation professionals
I am IICRC certified in water restoration and mold remediation. I do insurance estimating and project management for mitigation and repair work. Concrobium is one of the benchmark chemicals and brands used in this industry. I use this spray bottle one for the temporary office we have set up in the wake of Helene. Older building and the basement brick wall get mold growth due to the water table, ground water intrusion, and simply the age of the property. This product is great for spot treating light to medium discoloration. Bleach is of course very effective but can stain and leave behind a lingering smell. This product does not. I use it to treat and wipe down the walls once a month. This is not a permanent solution or will be effective against stopping recurring growth and or excessive growth. You will need commercial grade quantities and proper drying and abatement to remove mold/discoloration permanently along with reducing the amount of relative humidity in the air IE you may need to install a permanent dehumidifier and or air scrubber. I also use this to spray down my work clothes if i’ve been in a very dirty job site or a hot messy job site that’s full of mud, downed trees, etc. This will help prevent clothes from having that weird body odor smell even after cleaning in the washing machine. I also use it on my work shoes. There’s nothing fancy or special about this product. It’s just consistent and you know what you are getting. I am sure you pay more just based on the brand but the brand is iconic in my industry for a reason. It’s because it has decades of service in water and mold restoration projects. We would also use this with a viruscide product and deodorizer and cold fog commercial spaces during 2020.

It worked for us after a rancid flood and several carpet deodorizing just in case places
Odorless, my daughter & I purchased this because of our battle with moldy, mildewy smell. The direct effect of a toilet flood. We moved here to Michigan because the air is cleaner, people are polite and we've found the most perfect spacious home; with just so much scenry, beautiful water fowl, fishing I could go on but I won't. I'll just acknowledge that I've been blessed😇After the flood😷 sigh! We had the rugs deodorized twice. We diffused essential oil, dropped oil droplets into vents. We bought so many cleaning products-- Bleach, air freshers & plenty of home remedies from friends. Finally, my daughter took to one of her better qualities [besides being an excellent life coach, Super Hero daughter etc.] Researching! She found this product. We used it liberally. It warns "Do NOT use on fabrics." I did🙄🤨🤔even without testing. We were just at the end of all hope. Frustrated, irritated almost hopeless. We bought the mold & mildew spray not the "test your areas for mold & 9•5x's the test would prove yes at certain degrees. Yes, she and I lived in it! Test proven.🤔 There weren't any crystals so, I gather no extremely dangerous mold & mildew. I continued to use this product not sure if it was working? However, it was working. For the first time in weeks we were able to breathe Inhale Exhale & all seemed back to normal. Just a clean ordinary scent however I kept spraying in crevices just to be sure. I also took it to the kitchen area treated the things I thought might pick up mold because of where we live. I found a pair of sandals in the bottom of a storage closet. Mold on important tax papers (which we immediately threw out certain our preparer had copies of a 6 or 7th yr package filled with paper.) The yellow leather sandals were covered in mold I didnt want to throw them away so I clean them and sprayed them until wet put them out on the porch a few days. They're fine now just kept in protective wrapping when stored. So yes. I did get my money's worth plus I'm going to buy another bottle. This bottle went a long long ways. I reccomend buying this product for diy clearing away mold & mildew.

Concrobium 25326 Mold Control Spray, 32 oz
I’ve used it before and find it very effective. First used in bathroom, then reordered to use in bathroom tile. The spray bottle didn’t work when I first got it, no matter what I did. Ended up having to go buy a cheap one from the dollar store to actually apply it. It also smells faintly, so I recommend venting the area you use it in. I also recommend wiping down the areas or items you used it on a couple days after the mold/mildew dies off for residue.

The only thing that could make mildew and mold removal easy
I have an unventilated bathroom and four adults using it regularly. Add to that my penchant for long hot showers and it's not surprising that a section of the ceiling is plagued with spots of dark mold. For a while I tried remedies like general cleaners on the end of a mop, and natural remedies like vinegar -- all yielded moderate results that were not worth the effort and odor, plus the paint on the ceiling was partially dissolved!! This product not only helped reduce the ceiling spots just by spraying it at the ceiling on a weekly basis, it also got the shower tiles a shade of white previously unimagined. For the longest time I thought those tiles were just off-white because they never changed color despite vigorous scrubbing with things you'd think would get them their whitest. In fact, my mom used to use Clorox bleach but had to stop because it eventually destroyed the tub caulking and caused the shower water to leak into an adjacent room!!! With this product, I sprayed the tiles liberally, let it sit for a good while (about an hour), and then set to scrubbing -- a yellow film came off of the tiles. I did break a sweat doing it but it was far less effort than I've used in the past trying to get those tiles clean. Then I re-sprayed and didn't rinse it off. I cleaned again a few days later and the remaining film came off with less effort. Now I try to spray at least a few times a week after I shower and the tiles stay fairly clean, requiring minimal scrubbing once a week. The caulking is still blackish but much less nasty looking than before (I have to avoid scrubbing because I'm worried about another leak). The ceiling is much improved with a little mop scrubbing and frequent re-spraying. One issue I have with this product is that much of it is lost when I try to spray the ceiling. I'm pretty sure if I could blast the ceiling with this it would get rid of the remaining mold. Alas, all I can do is spray upward while standing on the side of the tub and hope at least half of it is getting to the moldy ceiling because it seems like most of it is raining down on my head.

Worked until the pump stopped
The product worked at first, but because I didn't use it often, the pump stopped working in the second month. Company should know customers dont use an entire bottle right away. Improve the pump mechanism.

So glad I found this!
I had a musty smell coming from a closet that had had a leak. I wanted to kill the mold on the floor and walls but I didn't want to kill myself in the process with a toxic product. Even chlorine bleach is toxic in the environment, despite its being commonly found in most homes. Based on other reviews, I decided to try this and I am very happy that I did. The closet it now clear of the musty smell and I used it in the shower stall next. Mind you, this will not give the immediate gratification that bleach would. It does NOT bleach out the mold stain and it does not claim to. It is killing the spores, which is the most important part. Remove the stain using another method, which may involve a 10% bleach solution in water. (I know. The frustration of it all.) Check other sources, such as Pinterest, for ideas. Do not be disappointed that this product does not do it. This allows it to be used on surfaces that would be harmed by bleach, such as, fabrics, furniture, carpeting, car interiors. In fact, I ordered some for my sister who has a car that got wet inside and now is musty. I am confident that this product, along with copious amounts of fresh air, will solve the problem. Everyone has mold somewhere in their environment. Try this. You will, no doubt, be happy you did. I am. Can you make it cheaper, as suggested by another reviewer? It is not worth it for me to try that. This is cheap enough. Mold is a challenging environmental problem that has a huge impact on human health - more than people realize. I am just happy that there is a product like Concrobium that allows me to control it in a non-toxic way.

This does NOT remove mold
I am very surprised that this is able to be sold for mold removal. I didn't look at the active ingredients before I bought the product and I regret that. The active ingredient is Sodium Carbonate (soda ash). I could find no information online (other than the manufacturer's website) that Sodium Carbonate removes mold. I asked the manufacturer (Rust-Oleum) why the mold wasn't killed when they sell it for that purpose. I was informed that the mold probably leaves a black stain but the mold should be killed. I asked what to do about the stain and they said that it has to be removed with more product and a brush. asked how I would know if the mold was actually active or just a stain and I was told that I'd have to have it tested. That's not very practical it seems. At least with bleach I know that the mold is dead when it's no longer visible but I fully understand it can grow back. I'm trying to kill mold on a drywall ceiling so I don't really want to use bleach but at least I know it will kill the mold. This seems to be a very ineffective product. You'd never know if you had actually killed the mold or not because it is not oxidized as would happen with bleach or peroxide.
