DickiesWomen's Relaxed Cargo Pant

Exact fit, Olive Green Size 4!
I was a bit nervous about purchasing pants over the internet, but gained enough confidence to do so after reading a review from a woman who matched my description. I am 5'7 120-125lbs, wide hips with a small waist and a long torso. These pants (the olive green size 4) fit like a glove! Absolutely perfect length in the legs, no muffin top, no camel toe, no bulging thighs. I am so happy with these pants that I purchased the black and brown, and am waiting for the khaki to be available in my size. Why I purchased these pants:I am a UC college student and I walk to class each day with my clipboard and blank paper, pencil and eraser pen, phone, and wallet. I don't like wearing a backpack because not only do I have scoliosis so the walk kills my back, it is also just unnecessary to bring anything more than I described to class, as the desks can't fit anything but a notebook. I also don't like using a purse because it is just one more thing to worry about and look out for, when all I do on the daily is carry what I described. That said, I was looking for some cargo pants to hold my wallet, samsung galaxy s4 phone, pencil and eraser pen. These pants are very good in doing what bought them for. One small hitch is the fact that the rear and front pockets are pretty much worthless for holding anything but credit cards, because while my galaxy s4 fits entirely in the front pocket without peaking out, it is a tight fit. Deep pockets, but tight. The saving grace to this is the pouches on the legs. The pouches can hold my wallet and monstrosity of a phone with an otterbox case without issue. They are also very easy to access as they are large enough without seeming bulky, and velcro! Love velcro. So much easier to open and close than buttons; snaps or otherwise. On the left side slightly above and to the right of the pouch is a slit where you can hold pencils and pens. Sitting down and crossing my legs, or sitting normally in a chair isn't influenced by putting pens in this small pocket. Very well placed. Everything is also held without bulk, which is nice! Especially for such a slim looking pant! So, with my phone in the right pouch, wallet in the left, and pencils in their respective place, I can trudge onward towards class with comfort, style, and convenience. I even like the placement of my items a lot more-so than in my other cargo pants, where I held everything in the front thigh pockets, whatever they are called. There is far less bulk this way!I highly recommend if you are in a similar situation to me. Or, if you just want a nice looking slimming pant.

Size 4R works well for 5’8” 120lbs
I ordered the Dickies relaxed fit cargo in rinsed grape leaf green in a size 4R (although Amazon said I would fit a 6- I tried the 6 and it was way too loose everywhere).I’m 5’8”, ~120 lbs, usually a size 4 (My measurements from 2 years ago: Bra: 32A/B - 34 A/B, Waist: 65cm, Hips 92cm).The 4R fit me well.Even though when I stand there is a little room at the waist, it isn’t noticeable unless I pull it out. It would not be comfortable if they were tighter there, especially when you sit, you need a little space around the waist. When I kneel (which I do in fieldwork), these are a bit tight in the thighs and cut in a bit behind the knees- but that is to be expected with this thickness of fabric. The length fits me perfectly.I’m 5’8” and I have a shorter torso and longer legs and these are at my heel. The pockets are large so you can fit lots of things, although when you sit that might not be very comfortable. My iPhone 13 Pro Max fits in my thigh pockets when standing, but when sitting, it jabs into my pelvis. It is a little too long for the thigh pockets; It sticks out such that you can’t Velcro it shut. These seem well made and Dickies is a brand I trust.

Dickies relaxed fit
This product is definitely roomy for the active lifestyle. Baggy enough in hips and thigh area and large down the calf to feet. I cater for a university in SC, USA and we are constantly busy with events. Especially doing sports events when we cater the elites and teams and spring formalwear gaila, not to mention tailgate and many more on campus all on same day. Loading up vans and unloading and in and out and up stairs and down stairs and bending and stretching all day long is a must. These pants are perfect to carry pens, note pads, paperwork and much more. Heavy duty material keeps up with me all day. What I don't like :: color fades (black) no support in hips and i ordered a size smaller (unintentional) and still need a belt.

Don't buy it!
If you are a woman in need of a good quality, good fiting pair of working pants, these may not be for you. The quality of the fabric and materials are excellent as usual for this brand, but the fit is absolutely awful, I just can't understand how they create pants that fit this way, is like they did this for men and didn't bother to change the shape for women. I'm 5'3", size Small/Medium and ordered the medium size, it magically gave me a muffin top (I don't have one) and stayed very low on my hips, so any time I bent over, my underwear showed in the back, they just felt so incredibly uncomfortable all over, so definitely not working pants, can't bed over, can't squat, have to worry about all the cat hair the black fabric picked up, have to worry about having a new muffin top and looking unkempt. I returned them the very same day.

Size up if you’re curvy !
I normally wear a 9/10 in jeans and I purchased these in a size 14. It feels comfy around the thighs and I can wear it with tights / leggings under so it has room but it’s def not as big as a size 14 pants should be on me. The waist is obviously noticeable Big but that’s nothing a belt can’t fix. The material feels good / strong. Overall the pants fit comfortably for work and that’s what I wanted. I would def recommend these but I would also recommend going up Atleast one size if you have thick thighs, big butt, and or wide hips. Also they’re high waters :(Edit: after several wears & washes, pants stretch a lot.

Very comfortable
I love whatever changes Dickie’s made as far as fabric goes, they’re way more comfortable than previous ones. My only issue with this particular style is that the small pocket that sits right above the cargo pocket used to be on the left side and is now not only on the right but is no longer allowing space for my box cutter without interfering with the cargo pocket operation. Not the end of the world, just inconvenient.

Dickies cargo pant
I really like the fit and size. True to size. Easy to wash and I hang dry but can put in dryer. Very comfortable. I also purchased the shorts as I work outside during the summers.
