A must-read for mental health professionals working with new parents
This book is the perfect clinical guide with a client-centered, empathetic, lived experienced-based focus. Many of the stories and perspectives in the book are relatable and would be helpful shares directly to persons-served. The clinical information is up to date and includes some less-touched-upon areas such as onset/prevalence of paternal mental health challenges.

Very informative.
A great read. I found it very informative and reassuring to someone who maybe experiencing anxiety or depression before and after the birth of their child.

There's must a better book for perinatal depression. Mostly just tells you to get on medication.
I was really sad this book turned out to not be what I was looking for. I was going through a lot of perinatal depression and there weren't many books about it, only for postpartum. There were some things in the book that were okay but mostly it feels like it's a book of them telling you to get on medication, which is fine for some people. But some people like me can't just go on medication and need other options or support and I thought this book was suppose to be more supportive than just telling you "you're depressed, there's meds for that". I read probably 3/4 of the book before giving up.
