Kitty loves it
I have a stubborn cat that eats the tips off a ponytail plant throughout the cold months when it must live inside. She eats it and vomits it up. She gets plenty of catnip to meet her needs for plant material; however, it's not enough to keep her off the ponytail. As a result, the rough plant material sometimes scratches her esophagus, and I often find blood in her vomit. Then it upsets her other end. ;)I decided to try these greens. She LOVES them, and has stopped abusing the ponytail.Instead of using the bag to germinate the grass, I elected to use a decorative planter. When I opened the package and saw the number of seeds it contained, I decided to try just using some of them in the pot. I had to add soil to the pot, and used organic soil. I sprinkled enough seed to make a healthy batch of grass, lightly watered as the instructions stated, and kept the top layer of soil moist.Germination of the first seeds occurred within days. Within a week, there was enough growth that I could move it into kitty's arena. She immediately took to it. I see her regularly chewing off and eating grass tips, the kitty version of a lawnmower. Even at 1/3 of the package, the grass is quite compact in the pot.And when this crop expires (not sure what to expect from it), I have probably two more rounds of it to grow. This makes it VERY affordable.

Didn't realize it is one time use: it's mostly soil with a small pack of seeds
For $6, yes, for less than the price of movie pass you can grow fresh grass easily for you cat for a few weeks for a fun escapade.I thought it was all seeds, and that it might last me a year.I am a gardener and have no need to receive soil in the mail. So, this is great purchase option for someone living in a densely urban environment, but not necessary for someone who is already a gardener or accustomed to indoor plants.Seeds sprouted right away within 24 hours - very good sign! The soil was completely dry, so likely absent of microbes. There are pros and cons to this, I am just sharing the observation. The soil contained some perlite. It was awkward poking holes in the bottom of the bag for drainage but didn't ruin the mood.I will not reorder due to misunderstanding that it was not all seeds.

Cat dashes for it.
My cat always makes a dash for greens and eats them up before they can finish growing. She doesn't seem to care about the brand. I can't find a place where she can't get to them. But she's a cat, and I'm only human.

Delicious blend of grass that cats love to eat!
Cats love to eat grass, and it is very good for their digestive systems. Grass is to cats as salad is to humans.I have purchased many different "cat grass' kits, as well as the fresh grass sold in pet stores. I have to say, that I like this brand the best. So do my cats. There are several varieties of Pet Greens: Garden, and Medley. They are both organic, and non-GMO, which is great. (I do not purchase any GMO seeds, vegetables or fruits.) The Pet Greens Garden blend is wheatgrass, and the Medley is a blend of oat, rye, and barley. I have purchased them both, but the Pet Greens Medley blend is more popular with my cats. The packaging should be an indication of the quality of the product. It is very nicely packaged. The quality of the seeds is excellent. The grass grows quite easily. One can grow the seeds right out of the bag, as is designed, or one can start the seeds in the bag, and transplant them into a larger pot. One can also directly plant the seeds into a planter, and they will grow fine from there, provisionally that there is enough water and sunlight. I have done it all three ways. Some grass can be toxic for cats - and it has nothing to do with the grass blend itself, but on account of the chemicals that one uses to grow the lawn and keep it healthy. Pet Greens is free of pesticides and other harmful things found in typical lawn grass. Non-GMO means that essential nutrients that are found in organic seeds and soil, aren't being lost. Gluten-free is is also very good as some cats have allergies to gluten just like some humans do.My cats are indoor/outdoor, and love to be outside. I have a cat garden for them on the patio, which includes catnip, catmint, and cat grass, as well as a few other herbs that are safe for them to eat. I let them nibble at the grass there, and also cut some off and place it into their bowls, regularly. If your cat is strictly indoor only, then he/she would benefit immensely from the Pet Greens Self-Grow Kit. Indoor cats don't get enough sunlight, and that can lead to a vitamin deficiency; and, despite how good the brand of food is that one is providing for ones cat, they need other nutrients found in grass, and other plants.Even if your cat is indoor/outdoor, Pet Greens Self-Grow kit is a worthwhile investment. Pet Greens grows easily in any month, or temperature. I generally grow it outside during the spring and summer months, and bring the plants in, before first frost. This way my cats can have fresh, delicious, grass - to munch on during the winter.I get the Pet Greens Self-Grow Pet Grass Kit (Medley) monthly with Amazon Subscribe and Save. This way, there is a nice rotation of grass growing constantly.Whether your cat is indoor-outdoor, or strictly indoor, I highly recommend the Pet Greens Self-Grow Grass Kit.

It grows then dies
The grass grows quickly within a week. After you start cutting it, it turns yellow and dies. The grass doesn’t regrow back unfortunately. I was hoping this plant would last for months. It was a fun little food topper for my dog. He likes to munch on grass when we go on walks.

Exactly as described
I had great full thick tall growth in 6 days. Unfortunately my cat wanted nothing to do with it other than occasional sniffing.
