Just Right
Purchased the 40" version for my Savage 110 Predator in 6.5 Creedoor with Acufit stock (24" barrel short action). With the adjustable comb it is possible to have the handle contact the stock well before it gets to the action. The 40" length makes this a non-issue as the jag/brush will still run the full length of the barrel. The increased thickness with the 6mm version also stiffens the up rod enough that the extra length works great. Very stiff. Get the Bore Tech jag in 6.5 Creedmoore as well...the o.d. matches the rod diameter perfectly. Most jags are .22 diameter. Very high quality bearings (handle will spin free for about a minute) and what seems like a durable coating make this an excellent solution. Use with a good bore guide as this rod won't have much wiggle room as it enters your action.

Great cleaning rod.
After shattering my 3 piece bore cleaning rod, I found this cleaning rob to be outstanding. It can take a beating and is great for cleaning my long rifle. Works great.

Do Not Buy, Poor/Lack of Packaging causes Damage
Not worth ordering because whoever is packing these into the boxes literally throws just the rod in the box with nothing to protect the threaded tip. The tip on this one was bent enough causing the brush to be at an angle instead as well as a bulge in the metal at the thread mouth that could potentially scratch the length of your barrel making those use of this rod absolutely pointless. Even more, the coating was also scratched off in a couple spots. Not sure why they don’t at least include some packing paper to prevent the rod from bouncing freely and getting mangled.

Mine came bent in half...
Mine came bent in half. I got the blue color one for my 6.5 creedmoor. The tip was also mangled because it was just dropped into the box before shipment. Why didnt they put some kind of protector on it??? My dewey rods come with a plastic tip to protect it. The overall build is very solid but what I didnt like was how hard and rough the actual rod felt. The roughness is intentional its their finish but why not smooth? On a larger caliber rifle it would be find but on a 6.5 its very very close to the lands of the rifle. It will definitely rub once it exits the muzzle end and is no longer being centered by either the brush or jag.

Horrible packing, awesome cleaning rod.
Package arrived with the rod through the package. Luckily it was not damaged. Cleaning rod itself is awesome.

Best cleaning rod for a 6.5 cal hands down!
I hated using a 22 cal to clean my 6.5. Too much flex with the rod. None felt with the Bore Tech!
